Sat in my office at home with a fresh, hot cup of coffee, watching it absolutely bucket it down outside. Feeling very cosy, and I'm struck by how much of a "long time, no see" feeling that is.

Hope it washes the heaviness out of the air, before the next heatwave starts.

Am loving the weather right now. Ice cream, cold drinks, the smell of suncream, sat in my garden. Good for a bank holiday weekend.

Apart from it occasionally smelling like turds, basement flat life is good right now to cool down after a few hours in the lovely lovely sun.

Double post wanker.

Just like last year, the tortoises hid in the shade today and I drank lager and antagonised the fools in the weakling weather thread.

Should have waited at least four years to post again.

The Sun got the better of me and a friend of mine today. I'm not much of a drinker nowadays, but a bit of a session has commenced today and it's been stupendous.

Enjoy the bank holiday weekend lads.

Lovely this. Out on the river bank at a pub enjoying some soft drinks with loads of ice in. Nice bit of breeze. Have lined up catching up with friends most evenings this week to make the most of it.

Ah it’s nice to see this thread. I am all about these heat waves. My mood is up, my motivation is up. Last Saturday I was drinking a mango cider outside a pub at 10 PM in shorts and it was about as content as I’ve been all year. I will take being a bit sweaty at night as a trade off for the elevated joy for life the sun brings me.

I think the seasonal depression aspect is a massive part of why I like this weather. Every year, without fail, I feel horrendous January through March, and it doesn't matter how many supplements I neck or how frequently I shove one of those lamps nto my face. At the moment, the days are long and every evening feels like an opportunity rather than something to get through in order to sleep again.

Yesterday I was sat up on the decking in the afternoon after the kids got home from school, watching them spray the hose at each other and the dog, all running around having fun whilst I was lounging in the sun with a coffee, without a care in the world for just a short time. Bliss.
