Fog Dude
The results went into the opening post on Sunday night, once I figured out where the 'Edit' option is now located, then the table was updated. Stinky Dad still leads, but the gap is down to 4 points as joint top scorer Vegeta closes in. MVP RULZ also remains in last place, though only by a point. The worst performer this time out was ultimo. TildeGuy bet on Chelsea to win, but didn't bank on two defensive mistakes early in the second half that gifted Liverpool their decisive goals. Six of the other eight participants disagreed with him to claim their pair of bonus points. It was a low-scoring week, with no-one threatening to make it into double figures, and nobody managing more than one exact score either. Wins for Leeds, Spurs and Leicester were generally good for one-pointers, but the scorelines proved less helpful. Two stalemates and an Iago Aspas-inspired reverse for Valencia meant that the Spanish matches yielded very few points, whilst a home loss at Pittodrie and a score draw at Easter Road meant that Scottish outcomes didn't fare much better. A comfortable victory on the road for Brighton turned out to be difficult to foresee as well. Good to see everybody is still playing, and thanks to the person who got in touch with their D2D picks this past week. That still leaves one set of choices outstanding though, so I'll be PMing them before the next update if I don't hear from them in the next couple of days. A new card will be up in the original post in just a tick.

Fog Dude
Forgot to mention in the blurb that, as far as I'm aware, since the two cup ties will be played on last season's rules, extra time remains a possibility, so do keep that in mind when making your picks. Fog Dude
On 9/24/2020 at 11:31 PM, Stinky Dad said: Sent you a PM Fog fella. I’ve tried it twice now but you don’t seem to have had them. If you don’t get these I’ll just post my d2d picks here... Yep, I've got it now. Your first attempt must've got lost in the æther when the forum took on a new look a couple of weeks ago. Wouldn't advise posting your choices in the thread, mind – that'd be like Novak Djokovic hitting a line judge in the throat at Flushing Meadows: an instant default, and all your hard work of the previous few rounds undone. With that sorted out, I've made a provisional draw for the FPL Cup group stages, but in theory people are still welcome to jump on board for another week, so I'll reveal that in the next update. In the meantime, the scores went into the initial post on Monday morning (because I'd forgotten to add one of the German results on Sunday night) and the table was updated around that time as well. As footballers continue to struggle to adapt to a curtailed break between seasons and the lack of crowds, we're seeing some unusual and, more importantly for us, unpredictable scorelines. All that's lead to a very low average and allowed Rory to be the best performer of the week on a mere 7 points. He was also the only participant to get more than one exact score right, which moves him up into third spot in the standings. Stinky Dad still leads, but Vegeta has chipped his lead down to just 2 points, whilst MVP RULZ is now adrift at the bottom by the same margin. A home win for Arsenal in the much-delayed FA Cup tie from last season was the only outcome generally good for one-pointers. Heavy away losses for Wolves and Bayern caught most people out, and there was no clear pattern to picks for the other 7 results, so we'll have to call them all a mixed bag, sorry. Let's hope the next set of 10, which will appear in the first post shortly, produce a more successful bunch of guesses.
