Attended Rev:Pro at the Doncaster Dome over the weekend and while I am sure she is a very lovely person, the ring announcer just screamed most of the announcements to the point where it actually became painful and I had to move away from the speakers. You already have a microphone, you don't need to shout. Also, seeing about the 'I need to learn Chinese' thing, it reminded me when an NXT fan yelled 'Go back to China!' at Iyo Sky several years ago. She looked at him with disdain, said 'I'm Japanese, bitch!' and then did the splits. . Â Mate I was there too, she was dreadful I thought as well. Good show though, hope they head back to Donny again. 1st time seeing Oku and RKJ, match of the night with Ishii /Jacobs not far behind. Got some dogs abuse RKJ from a fan sat near me, proper venomous spewing hatred but handled it well I thought

d-d-d-dAz
Only just watched the show. Opening segment (and subsequent follow-ups)? Absolutely fantastic. Flowed from backstage to the ring, high intensity, Seth didn't look or act the insufferable tosser, the incredibly exciting Bronson Reed had his unsightly bits mostly covered up. Top marks. Branson Reed is fantastic, and I love a chunky wrestler but think he'd be well served by tightening his physique up a bit. The rounder lads always look better when it's like they're a ball of flesh and muscle, but he looks a little soft in places which puts a limit on how intimidating he can be I think. If he does want to push on and move even further up the card, especially given his height as well, I think there's things he could do to improve his overall presentation without losing that manic physicality he's got. Liv Morgan sending the interviewer with the microphone away and then giving a promo from the same spot with no microphone and no sound issues. Classic wrestling. The Wyatt Sicks are rubbish. Just a mid card, Wyatt-Family-with-a-Camden-Market-gift-card bag of shite. Bo Dallas has none of the physical charisma of his brother. Just a wally in a velvet waistcoat. Skipped a lot of the tag team stuff as life is too short for WWE's nonsense version of tag team wrestling. But, on fast forward, Rey Mysterio looked great. Fuck sake Carlito. You absolute weapon. I've seen that apparently it wasn't scripted, which is surprising as you could basically hear HHH in that line. Sounded exactly like something Triple H (Double S, amirite?), would have said in DX. Especially DX2.0. If it wasn't scripted, fuck sake. I like Carlito too. What a dickhead. Bron Breakker is a brilliant throwback. If Cody looks and acts like he was created by generative AI, using the prompt 'create the most WWE thing anyone could possibly imagine', Breaker is the same but with WCW. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. ARE THERE ANY DOGS IN THE HOUSE? Woof woof, Bron. Woof woof. Jey Uso is rubbish, but everyone loves him. Good for him. Loved everything Bloodliney at the end. Solo hamming it up? Love it. Jacob Fatu mean mugging and looking like an absolute monster? Love it. Teasing a future Jacob/Bron match? WOOF WOOF. Jacob looks massive now too. Superb. The crowd reaction for their face off gave me goosebumps. The fans aren't (always) stupid. They know. See you at the Rumble, boys. I think they're special, I do... Seriously, brilliantly booked. Absolutely what a paranoid, insecure Solo would use his Bloodline for, and given his ostensible plan was 'help Jey and he won't stand against us', and it was Jacob who definitively cost Jey the title, the whole thing probably planted the seeds of Jacob/Solo down the line. ..and crucially, it was exactly the catalyst we need to start the next big boom period in the business. Someone tell Roman to start practicing his Yeet dance. Dissertations should be written about the return on investment from the Bloodline story. From every angle you look at it, brilliant business. Especially how they turned it round after the ice cold wilderness months after Jimmy's first turn. But, they've; - Given Roman the original, generational run as the Tribal chief - Gave Roman this current big babyface run that the old cunt never could manage - Turned Jey Uso into a money making star despite being not very good - Got Jimmy Uso over. - Ditto, but Solo Sikoa - Pushed Sami into a more serious place that allowed him to headline Mania - Got Cody to where he could lead the company when Roman is at home - Brought The Rock out of the wilderness, and probably birthed at least one if not two future huge Mania main events - Gave us Jacob Fatu Astonishing. Seven trillion stars.     Edited October 23 by d-d-d-dAz

The King of Old School
Have to remember that it's a TV show where everyone is playing a character, that's why at first thought I thought while not in the best taste everyone must have been on-board with it, Carlito is kind of playing the dumb, goofy character in the Judgement Day. Since it's come out that it's probably unscripted and he did it off the cuff to try and be funny though, not really appropriate,
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted October 23 Paid Members Share Posted October 23 The crowd reaction when Jacob Fatu and Bron Breakker faced off though. Don't make us wait too long, Triple K. Raquel Rodriguez cut a great promo! And she didn't show her back once! Amazing. Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins brawling should have been a whole hour. Have they.... salvaged The Final Testament? How?! Paul Ellering did something! You fucking berk, Carlito. Don't make me start watching Monday Night Raw ffs. I just started Turok.

Generally, I agree with this assessment about the majority of things that happen on wrestling shows. It just doesn’t seem wise to be doing it amidst a ton of racist allegations being aimed at the company though. Find another joke. The more I’ve read though I’m not convinced this hasn’t just been a genuine bit of stupidity and slip of the tongue casual racism from Carlito. He gives off the vibe of his idiotic character in real life.
DavidB6937
It's not really about when it was said, or how it was said, or whatever else. Fact is a lot of people are absolutely blind to it even being racism in the first place, which is why shit like this happens. I don't believe it would be said if a writer or Carlito knew it was offensive in the first place - hopefully! - but it's just not acknowledging how something like that would make someone else feel. So many of us are in privileged positions where a lot of those casual comments pass us by because they don't impact us directly and it's only when someone else opens your eyes and says "well actually.." that you start to think of things in a different way and try to appreciate how they'll be taken by others. Absolutely right, David Good post. Sadly, a lot of the replies on X disagree because it's "funny", it's "comedy" or all lefties need to touch grass and all the other comments you get from people who think casual racism is fine. They're not exclusive to social media at all, but they're very present on there and continue to be emboldened by cunts like Musk and Trump. Be interesting to see if there is any fallout. The suggestion that Carlito riffed it does look like an attempt to shift the blame but it could be true. If it is, they'll surely shitcan him. He's expendable anyway.

He's expendable anyway. I do think it'll depend if they think they can get away with it or not. As with most of these things. They've let far worse things slide in the past and nothing's really come of it. So unless anyone makes a really big deal of it I'd be surprised. Perhaps a "don't do that shit again" conversation if it was just him. Or no one actually thinks it was a problem and nothing happens whatsoever. d-d-d-dAz
Considering it came just 24 hours after a story about how Carlito was being primed for a bit of a solo push away from the Judgment Day, it's a remarkable act of self sabotage if he did just riff it. I expect he'll say he didn't mean any disrespect and was just joking, or he may be really audacious and say he got so nervous thinking about adding in an ad hoc riffed line that he fucked up and just said the wrong thing; either way, I'd be surprised if they completely binned him as they won't want to set a completely harsh precedent in case someone they actually like fucks up like this in the future, but I suspect he'll get a week or two off and any potential 'push' won't materialise.
