That's a fair point, but when I said he was on the right side of history when it comes to womens wrestling, I wasn't defining history narrowly as 'how WWF portrayed women as sex objects in the attitude era'. Given his output, he's obviously going to have written plenty of things that would be questionable - especially when looked at through 2019 glasses - but when taken as a whole, I think he's on the right side of histroy when it comes to womens wrestling. Marc Mero blocked the cameras...Sable needed another boob job like Yokozuna needs more cake and ice cream so go figure what goes through people's minds. [7/97] - Thrasher beat Goldust in 4:28 when the person CBS called the world's most dangerous boob job, Sable, slapped Goldust. [2/98] - ECW brought out a world famous hardcore porn star, who was wearing more than Sable usually shows every week on Raw. [3/98] - Do you realize that if silicon were magnetic, that once Sable and Luna got within the gravitational pull of each other there would be no force in the universe strong enough to break them apart? [3/98] - Without the ridiculous boob job, Sable has a phenomenal body for her age, but with it, she looks like just another low-rent stripper. [5/98] - Sable's breasts make her look like a human oddity and she should be managed by Jackyl. [6/98] - Before the next match, Sable walked to the ring without tipping over, and introduced Vince McMahon. [7/98] - Sable had been gone a few weeks to get, guess what, her 31st boob job. [2/99] Good grief. I think a lot of that doesn't make for good reading, but in his defence, I think his critique of Sable's appearance is rooted in the fact that he doesn't think women should have to have boob jobs to be pushed. I note he'd say those things rarely when women are presented as wrestlers in other promotions versus when they are presented as strippers who occasionally wrestle in mud matches in WWF. Merzbow
The thing is he's not critiquing wrestlings portrayal of women and how it should be better but the woman herself simply for the way she looks and comments like "low rent stripper" show his contempt for women in general. Whistling Skull
Oy vey. People classifying strippers by their socioeconomic situations is waaaaay off base.

Even if this is correct I'd expect it be purely from a puritanical viewpoint going by how he describes Sable's body and sex workers. Paid Members Carbomb Posted June 27, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted June 27, 2019 That there are two indy finishers named after Meltzer and neither is called the Meltzdown is odd too.
Keith Houchen
They could have a cross body finisher that they break out on the odd occasion called Plancha Change.

I'm not judging anyone else. But my experience is that most men had horrendous attitudes. On here it was rife. i'd only exclude Houchen who has always had a wonderfully progressive attitude. The rest of you are animals.

"Well, the show would have ended long before they got to Antarctica" He was right about hot water burning baby, though.
