Out of curiosity, I checked Jackson's Tapology page. Not that it matters really, but his MMA career was going nowhere seemingly. He went 4-0 as an amateur, before losing his pro debut to a fellow debutant in August of 2023. He hasn't fought since. The only bout he has had scheduled since was pencilled in for May, but was cancelled due to his opponent withdrawing.

Anyone seen this stuff about the UFC’s negotiations with Netflix and why it fell apart? Apparently Netflix wanted the big numbered events but told them they weren’t arsed about Fight Nights. Even Netflix hates the Apex ? they didn’t even wanna carry the ‘on the road’ Fight Nights according to Luke Thomas. UFC is obviously going to Paramount now in the US. Hopefully it stays on TNT here.

Random thought after watching Goldbergs Halloween Havoc entrance for the thousand the time. I know the UFC have quashed any fun, uniqueness, interest and personality from individual fighters, but surely they will be missing a big trick if they don't have one of the big fighters on the White House card doing a Goldberg style entrance which starts off actually in the White House. Would be class 

 

Instead I assume it will just look like any other show, where you don't even see the White House at all, similar to those Fight Island shows which people thought originally were going to look alot different.

They’ve just released these of the plans for how the White House card is supposedly gonna look.

We’ll see. I mean we’ll see if the event even happens first. But I still remember when people thought Fight Island was gonna be this majestic outdoor event with palm trees in the background and stuff. Turned out it was just another venue in Abu Dhabi. Obviously this isn’t the same thing but I take all these plans and the hype from UFC with bucket loads of salt.

Michael Chandler’s still pathetically begging to fight McGregor on this card. And McGregor’s apparently ‘confirmed’ that on some show last night. Seen a bunch of accounts running with it as if that fight is a lock now, conveniently forgetting what a monumental fuck up McGregor is these days. Forgetting that these two did a whole series of TUF a couple of years ago and didn’t fight. And forgetting that they were actually booked last year and the ever reliable McGregor pulled out with a sore toe. I love the way Dana’s been going on about how he can’t trust Jon Jones to headline this card (which I totally understand) but then names McGregor as a guy who he can depend on. A guy who “always shows up, will fight anyone of any style, anytime, any place” and all that cobblers. He’s talking about the McGregor of 2015. A whole decade of insane money, drugs, rapes, assaults, injuries etc later, he’s not that guy in 2025. Just shows how badly Jones has fucked his relationship with the UFC behind the scenes if they see a rapist junkie who hasn’t fought in four years as the ‘safe pair of hands’ to build the White House card around.

Hopefully they fill the White House card with McGregor, Jones, Pena and  Covington so I don’t have to watch the MAGA propaganda and Dana licking trumps ass every 5 mins. 
 

In all seriousness can we even see this going ahead? I can see it being announced and then moved to an arena in Washington when it all goes tits up.

I don’t know. I dismissed it at first but with how far Dana’s tongue is up Trump’s sweaty orange arse I wouldn’t be surprised if they make it happen.

If they were gonna just keep all the Trump worship and MAGA rimming limited to this White House card and not bring that shit into any other card again, I wouldn’t mind. But you know Dana and Trump are still gonna be doing their cringey walkouts to ‘American Bad Ass’ on every other numbered event regardless.
