Favourite Albums of 2018

Recommended Posts

As the year is coming to an end and record releases start to wind down for the year, I though it would be a good time to start compile an end of year list. There are a couple of different music threads which people sometimes post their lists in so I thought I start a new one where we can all post our favourite release of the year.

So, mine are...

10. Thom Yorke - Suspiria OST (XL Recordings)

9. Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs - King of Cowards (Rocket Recordings)

8. BC Camplight - Deportation Blues (Bella Union)

7. Marlowe - Marlowe (Mello Music Group)

6. Kamasi Washington - Heaven & Earth (Young Turks Recordings)

5. Everything Is Recorded - Everything Is Recorded (XL Recordings)

4. The Lovely Eggs - This Is Eggland (Egg Records)

3. Noname - Room 25 (Self-released)

1. Idles - Joy As An Act of Resistance (Partisan Records)

Its been a strange year for me. When the year started i was determined to listen to music as it was released but like last year ive spent 95% of my time listening to podcasts. I dont think i can realistically put together a list. I do appreciate everyone elses though, im always after recommendations.

At the end of last year i listened to the That's Not Metal album of the year podcast and got some cracking albums from that list that i have been listening too this year so ill probably end up doing the same for 2018's albums in 2019.
