Films with the most surreal cast

Listening to the latest We Hate Movies about Battlefield Earth, and looking up what else the director did, I came across 2013's Prisoners of the Sun, a horror set in Egypt.

John Rhys-Davies (Gimli, Indiana Jones's mate Sallah)

David Charvet (Baywatch)

Carmen Chaplin (Charlie's granddaughter, but not the good one from Game of Thrones)

Nick Moran (all the shit gangster films)

Joss Acklund (wearer of a spunky backpack)

Michael Higgs (Andy Hunter off Eastenders)

and as a character called Kalfhani, almost certainly wearing boot polish on his face, Shane Richie (the Shane Richie car)

Her fella is Ricky Diamond from the tent stop on Playbus. He makes all the films.

I've also just seen him in an episode of top 90's wrestling sitcom Rumble as a record exec. probably why he went on to make cockney gangster paedo basher rape films.

Watched the film Derailed last night, which was far more fun than it should be.

Look at this cast though.

Yep. *That* Ortis. And Tom Conti and RZA in a film together, at last!

Friends, CBBC, Home & Away, Pimp My Ride and the Wu-Tang Clan all united under one roof. That's pretty unusual.

The voice cast for Transformers: The Movie is a bit of collection isn't it?

Orson Wells

Eric Idle

Robert Stack

Judd Nelson

Leonard Nimoy

Scatman Crothers

Casey Kasem

speaking of Orson, it's not a film, but the cast for his London stage production of Moby Dick is completely insane.

Can you think of any two less interchangeable actors than "Christopher Lee/Peter Sallis"?

Last Of The Summer Wine took a VERY interesting turn in that universe, and don't even get me started on the Lord Of The Rings and Hammer Horror...

I've not seen this yet, but it's shot to the top of my viewing list.
