Paid Members Gus Mears Posted October 4, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted October 4, 2018 Shockingly, I don't think we did this when it came out last year. Pick your poison (unless you're Michael Owen or Astro). I would like to say that I am a 1C, but in reality I reckon I'm a 3B or 2C at best. Paid Members BomberPat Posted October 4, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted October 4, 2018 If it had to be one of them, 2C. Though I mostly stick to herbal teas and no milk on the rare occasion I have a cup now. Mostly black coffee.

David
3B for me, although I'm one of those weird sods who puts the milk in first, adds the bag, then the hot water, followed by sugar.

Paid Members Gus Mears Posted October 4, 2018 Author Paid Members Share Posted October 4, 2018 Is there any particular reason you add the milk first? Is it just a force of habit thing, or is there some improvement to the taste of a cuppa that I've been missing out on?

It's a strange one for sure, and believe me, I've had grief from friends and family over the years, but if pressed to answer I think it's just something I've always done. Other people who have made me a cuppa do it the conventional way, and it doesn't seem to taste as nice. Probably just my imagination though. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted October 4, 2018 Moderators Share Posted October 4, 2018 C3-d4 are all too weak and pale for me, any of the others are fine, I'm not fussy.
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted October 4, 2018 Awards Moderator Share Posted October 4, 2018 3B looks just fine to me! The teabags we've got at work usually result in cups of 4A which irritates me daily but not enough to bring my own in.
Brewster McCloud
1A. I mostly drink Earl Grey and lapsang souchong. Putting cow juice in either would defeat the purpose.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted October 4, 2018 Moderators Share Posted October 4, 2018 Lapsang souchong is fucking horrid. Like drinking a bonfire. Also why are you all putting for number first? Letter first.

I've had a box of this on my desk at work for the best part of a year and it has the same delicious taste of burning. It's diabolical. I just keep it there because the packaging is pretty.
Brewster McCloud
And what manner of scoundrel would not enjoy drinking a bonfire? The best thing about it is watching the hoi polloi scatter when the aroma hits their callow nostrils.
