WyattSheepMask Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 I have it a watch this afternoon. Nothing spectacular, but if you've got a spare hour it's decent enough
Doog Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Just finished watching the podcast now. Its a decent insight into Shane lkke and how he feels - the Triple H bit was fascinating, can see he cant stand the bloke and is really.holding back. If the two do end up doing a programme on TV together it could be very interesting. In regards to Foley - i hope he never dows any of these interviews again. The way he kept trying to put himself over and butting in when Shane was talkng was frustratng to.fuck. the part where Shane is trying to talk abut HIAC and the end and Foley brings in a load of bullshit ablut how he needed to be the first person Shane saw after the match etc and then tellng his own stories and even being bitter that shane enjoyed his hug with his fucking dad rather than Foley. Such an annoying fucker that very nearly ruined the thing
The Dart Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 To be fair to the Micker, he's never done anything like that before. He actually seemed quite nervous at some points. Talking about himself was probably his way of not making it obvious he didn't know what to say.
Sphinx Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 There were parts I really cringed during it. I know he's not done it before, and I appreciate it's tough, but him making it about himself was frustrating.
The Gaffer Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Some of it's just common sense, regardless of your experience. The Triple H thing for instance looked really interesting. Anybody else would have asked him differently phrased questions around the issue. Instead Mick asked the same question meekly a second time before blurting "I'll uh...accept your answer". It's a shame they didn't keep talking about Shane's ideas on the current product because really that's what I wanted to hear about. Shows that the whole idea that it's the Network and they can talk as long as they want is a bit B.S., because I imagine Foley was told wrap it up just as they were about to get into that. I did chuckle a bit when Foley mentioned the idea of his feelings being hurt not two minutes into the podcast. Even the set looked thrown together, with poor pictures chosen to be shown on screen very infrequently. Austin's one is live too and it's full of all sorts of interesting cutaways that really add to the stories being told. A missed opportunity.
The Cutting Edge Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Foley is clearly in the same category as Ziggler and now Cesaro in that no matter what he does right or wrong he's gonna be criticised for it. He wasnt bad at all in the interview, its a chat back n forth they both bat sorties to each other and react and draw there own experiences to relate to it, Austin, Y2J or whoever do the same thing, they're not strangers to each other or to the buisness (like and outside interviewer would be)

And isn't that where most of the subjective quality of a podcast is derived from at the end of the day? Guests fluctuate in quality. It's the host that's gotta seem like a cool cat. I doubt anybody is going to pretend they didn't favour Foley doing it when they actually did. That's quite a bizarre amount of effort to go to in order to maintain some front of not liking a guy... don't you reckon? For whatever reason I don't mind when Austin cuts in. It stood out when Foley is doing it. Because the perception I have is one is a natural at this and one isn't, I guess?
Sphinx Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 I love Foley, and his podcast as a guest with Austin was decent, but he seemed to disrupt the flow. Austin doesn't go round the houses much and he asks questions that you might want to ask if you were in the seat. I felt I could sense Shane being confused at times from Mick's rambling.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted May 26, 2016 Paid Members Posted May 26, 2016 I found Shane to be on the defensive throughout and a came off a bit of an awkward fucker, he clearly didn't feel easy going in depth on a few of the questions, i think that's what led to Foley scrambling at times because Shane wasn't giving him much.
Philjax Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 I see they've added the latest season of Total Divas. Anything else new snuck on? Could do with some more of the old dvd documentaries.
WyattSheepMask Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 There's been some new episodes of Table For 3 added recently, most recent of which features Foley, Edge & Christian. I was having a browse through the ECW PPV section and noticed Cyber Slam 96 was there, which I think has only been added recently as the first official PPV was Barley Legal in 97
The Clint Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Looks like the complete year of Raw from 2004 will be available by the end of the week. They're also dropping random 2005 episodes too. Really loving the quick pace of these Raw and Smackdown uploads lately. I hope they keep them coming until they reach 2007.

They moved the three pre-PPV era Arena home video shows into the PPV section, which is annoying for OCD reasons but better than their usual policy of the videos just disappearing if they no longer have a natural category. The rest of the stuff in ECW Exposed (TV show clips) was removed.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted May 26, 2016 Paid Members Posted May 26, 2016 why doesn't the Network just have a 'just added' section like Netflix? its dumb that stuff gets added without actually alerting people that it's there.
The Gaffer Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 The bottom row of videos on the main page kind of has it. Not sure is it called 'just added', I think it's 'hot now' or something similar but generally anything new they put up goes on there. Edit: I should add it doesn't really alert you to archive content, just brand new stuff, so yeah it's pretty worthless.
