He's finished, both as a booker and on screen character. They're using him perfectly as an on-screen character. When he turns up, the crowd lifts and the show feels more special. He's where he should be at. Plus as we saw from the Roman Reigns angle late last year, there's still mileage in him working an angle if it's important and occasional. Shane O' Mac Version 2 Posted July 13, 2016 Share Posted July 13, 2016 Real Minor Gripe  But it bugged the Hell out of me that they insisted on calling it ''Smackdown Live'' Every time they made mention of Smackdown  Yes we know its Live now but we don't go around calling it ''Raw Live'' Just call it Smackdown please  Like I said silly gripe  Smackdown has never been live on an ongoing basis before, they're tacking on "Live" to the name to really hammer that point home. We know it's happening going forward but the casual viewer might assume it's for the Draft episode and that's it. I think it'll last a couple of months tops then go back to being good old Smackdown once everyone's used to it going live Tuesday nights.  I really enjoyed Raw outside that closing segment. The constant changing of titles "GM, COO, Commissioner, adding GMs back in" suggests that they don't really know what they're doing- as does those first couple of weeks where they literally came out on TV and said "umm, err, we haven't worked out the details yet".  Cena appearing was nice. Was he legitimately in LA and made the flight over, or was it storyline and he was there the whole time? Really interesting amongst all the draft talk was Cole talking about Cena not being there every week due to outside commitments going forward. Makes Cena's big issue with The Rock a couple of years ago even sillier than it already was.  I'm absolutely loving how the Club are showing a goofy side. Shows that you can be taken seriously without being boring. AJ has found his feet as a heel, and Karl Anderson is an unexpected riot. from "hot Asian wife" last week to his great smug face after saying "my UNFILTERED opinion" to Renee, he cracks me up.  Really hoping I can exercise some self control next week. Very keen for the final Raw with a full roster and Ambrose vs. Rollins for the WWE Title- could get some big happening due to the timing. And of course, Smackdown Live and the draft the next day. Work (school term) starts back the day of Raw, and I need to resist the urge to read the live reports on my lunch break, then go home and WATCH WRESTLING. I hope they don't waste the singles match on a B-show like this, but who do they get to partner Sasha? Paige? Becky? Is Nikki Bella due back soon? Not exactly a treasure trove of options! To give Ambrose all the credibility in the world, he has to be the number one pick in the draft.  Unless they are having two champions, no one will get to pick Ambrose in the draft as he will be on both shows.   Judging by Raw I assume they're heading for a tag match with Charlotte and Dana vs Sasha at Battleground? We know Smackdown will move and be live, and there will be a draft with separate GMs/Commissioners but that's it. Â In fact, having just one world champion and having that champion exclusive to one show would make that show feel more important because they've got the champion. But the champ could turn up on the other show's PPV's to defend his title against their number one contender as they try and win the title back for their brand. Briefcase Posted July 13, 2016 Share Posted July 13, 2016 I would love Rollins to win the title next week but you just know Reigns will return and the match will end in a DQ (maybe Shane will do a rematch on Smackdown Live?)  The Wyatt/New Day thing this week was just weird, it came across like a low budget horror movie verses Mortal Kombat verses some dodgy porno, just a shame that they didn't do the token black guy death and have Xavier Woods murdered or something. If they come out next week as the normal happy New Day then it will be shit, but if they do something with this and they are darker or different it could be cool. I still don't know what to make of it though.  I can see Brooke being drafted to the opposite show and Charlotte being on her lonesome as Sasha takes the title at Summerslam.
