Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted May 28, 2016 Moderators Share Posted May 28, 2016 I agree he should only make films with drew Barrymore though, if only to keep her busy and make sure she stays away from any films I might actually want to watch. Â Agreed. She is quite lovely but really not very good at all.
Paid Members Nick Soapdish Posted May 28, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted May 28, 2016 I give him a free pass for The Waterboy. I'm pretty sure that I could watch that weekly. Also Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore and Wedding Singer. I'm sorry to say, I have a soft spot for Little Nicky and Just go with it. Other then that, no. Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted May 28, 2016 Awards Moderator Share Posted May 28, 2016 Hotel Transylvania is alright. That's about it for me and Sandler.
The Clint
I actually thought both Grown Ups movies had their moments.
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted May 28, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted May 28, 2016 I didn't mean to start a debate about which Adam Sandler films are tolerable, it was a stern warning, his films are bad but The Do-Over is truly abysmal. Even if you're super stoned or pissed and bored and think it can't be that bad or it might be so bad it's good, please don't do it. In the bottom 5 films ever for me. Keith Houchen
He is the thinking man's Rob Schneider. I say thinking, I mean dribbling. Â I'm a huge PTA fanboy but I wasn't too keen on Punch Drunk Love, felt like a band releasing an EP in between proper albums.
handspants
I liked Waterboy and Big Daddy at the time, but I was about 12. Â I also quite enjoyed 50 First Dates, but that one is less excusable, as I was about 16 at the time and should've known better.
Paid Members Maverick Posted May 28, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted May 28, 2016 Anyone seen Reign OverMe with him and Cheadle? Pretty good more serious movie. I'm an unashamed Sandler fanboy though.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted May 28, 2016 Moderators Share Posted May 28, 2016 Ugh. Cheadle and his stupid perma-cry face. I keep hoping War Machine is going to get killed off.
TapOut Tapes
I just watched the new Sandler movie. It's watchable, unlike Ridiculous 6 which I couldn't get past 20 minutes of

Obviously Luis Guzman is the real star of it though.

Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted May 28, 2016 Awards Moderator Share Posted May 28, 2016 (edited) Fivethirtyeight did a great study of Adam Sandler films. Â "Sandler does not make art. Sandler manufactures product." Edited May 28, 2016 by Onyx2
Paid Members Thunderplex Posted May 29, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted May 29, 2016 Finally went to see Civil War last night. I wasn't expecting an avenue to the magnitude of what happened in the comics so as a result was not disappointed, in fact I loved it. It was really the Avengers 3, and I'm looking forward to what the directors do with the infinity wars.
