It also depends a lot on where the show is. If you're using Liger, you probably want it in a venue that's easy to travel to from out of town. If you're only expecting locals to come, Kelly Kelly could be a better bet.

Of course, if you do DVDs and you've got a good opponent, Liger would have added value if you can do a (comparative) "dream" match that people would want to see even if they couldn't go to the show.

Jushin Liger all day for me. Kelly Kelly is like that thought of "I'm desperate for a shag, I might visit an escort" and after masturbating you go "nah, I'll save my money". Kelly Kelly is essentially every nice lass you will ever see, even though I love her. Where as there is only one Liger and you wont see him very often. He's a legend. First match on Nitro as well, so he's not some Japanese bloke that El Ligero nicked all the moves from. Just google Kelly Kelly. All you want to do is look at her anyway. People will pick stars over girls when it comes to spending money. Go see Liger, enjoy yourself and stick Babestation on.

Here's one: would you rather go to a night club and see Shaun Ryder cut the ribbon on a new set of decks or Jackie Degg throwing out t-shirts? Shaun Ryder all day. Nice looking lasses are ten a penny.

I like Liger and can't stand Kelly Kelly. But this is business, KK is much more of a draw to casuals, so she's getting booked. Who today knows who Liger is? Not that many outside of Japan did when he was a top star.

Look how many people turned out for Dragon Gate and the NOAH shows that happened over here. Wrestling fans will travel for a star like Liger and they are still out there. He would have drawn twice as many six to ten years ago as he would now, but he would still draw well.

Kelly. If you're playing at being Vince McMahon, there's far more jollies in booking talent that Vince McMahon's used. Hmm. That said, I still remember seeing Liger in a ButlinsWres program when I was about seven. He looks fun on a poster. But so does she...

It is quite a conundrum. Both of them are going to appeal greatly to virgins. The virgins watching Kelly are going to be brought by their dads and buy foam fingers and knock-off John Cena posters. The virgins watching Liger are going to be accompanied by BO and buy the DVD later. Fuck it, WWE star trumps all else. Sticking with Kelly. All the people who really really like Liger are bound to have big Japan fetishes anyway, so you can get them in by booking Kelly against a UK wrestler with the face shape to be a real life anime character.

Depends whether you're trying to build a regular audience that will attend for the wrestling and hopefully come back based on the rest of your show, or draw a one off house for the attraction you're bringing in this time.

How so? They'd both serve exactly the same purpose either way - they're either drawing a one off crowd or they're drawing a crowd that you're hoping your cheaper, domestic regulars will hook for next time. How are you differentiating them based on what you've said there?

In terms of visibility, there are more people that would sit up and say "oooh, Kelly Kelly is on a wrestling show 30 miles from my house" than they would for Liger. But of the proportion that are going to pay for it, I believe Liger's is going to be much higher. If I rate tittys over workrate and will pay for them, I'm far more likely to stay in and pay

You're talking one bloke there capable of being the SOLE reason some of us buy tickets for a show, before any of the rest of the card is announced, and again boys, you're lying if you say you wouldn't.

Can any of you boys that voted for Kels honestly say you'd (as an example) pay

Point of note - Mickie James.

She spent a good four and a half years on WWE TV, admittedly not Kelly's six years. Went to TNA shortly after and became a big part of their Knockout division and a few days before appearing in Scotland for a weekend of shows she was Knockouts Champion. While I can't find any official figures, I believe both shows did well but I do wonder how much stronger her draw was as opposed to the April show in the same venue with no imports. PWE could prove me really wrong there.

How about Angelina Love? Spent almost five years in TNA and I wouldn't say her presence really increased the Preston crowd from reports seen as I wasn't there. Wasn't a main focus of NGW's biggest show to date and a lot of people have dismissed her involvement in the EVE show which already had a niche crowd and audience along with the iPPV aspect.

I would think a Liger appearance, correctly advertised in a good location and in good hands, could match the crowd turn out for the initial DG:UK show just on his appearance only.
