Custom made Ultimate Warrior dungarees is true dedication to the gimmick, as you say Yakashi, nobody puts in that level of dedication and effort these days and is why everyone is so naff.

The women do. I've noticed this for a while. They're always switching up their gear and their hair. They all get proper songs instead of thump-thump shite. They'll play with ideas and tweak stuff like Emma and Naomi. Just so much more effort.

If it's a man, they just go out every week in their pants and own T-Shirt suffering indignantly until they get fired.

Good shout. Billie Kaye seems to put more effort in to her outfits and appearance than some of the folk on the main roster and she's in bloody developmental. Makes her look like a star.

TBH say what you want but Warrior really did invest in the gimmic more so than anyone didn't he??

I think given the short amount of time in the business he musta had the most sets of attires, coats and tights of anyone in history (for tights only rude comes close)

This is why I don't like wrestling that much anymore, there's just no real standouts! I mean custom dungarees and even trousers for normal life is just a shining example.

Part of me thinks warrior probably had his own custom:

Condoms

Pyjamas

Toothpaste

That he used in day to day life.

He'll even his gym was totally custom and every piece of equipment was painted a certain colour and had the logo (now that's commitment)

I agree that guys could make more effort these days, but at the same time how the hell would Reigns, Rollins, Ziggler or whoever turn up on WWE or Mainstream tv wearing jeans and or jackets with Roman'S RR logo down the side or something without looking like marks or getting the shit ripped of him or looking like a geek.

Ziggler does/did the full on 80's rockstar gimmick and has been mocked for it all the way.

I suppose its a case of finding what would work or fit these days

Someone like Roode could potentially get away with it. He wears some incredible robes as it is, could definitely see him wearing something sporting his own face on the back.

I always loved Jimmy Harts airbrushed suits, either with his own face or whoever he was managing at the time on them. A manager like Famous B in LU could definitely get away with something like that.

Fucking love that lad. He's called Shawn. He's at every PWG and Lucha Underground show. He has a Youtube channel where he's so awkward, yet the wrestlers are just cool to him. He occassionally does his interviews via a hot tub with his top off, and he doesnt seem to give a shit that people are looking at his tits. I watched one once where he's interviewing Cheerleader Melissa and the fucker just looks off into the distance for ages not listening.

Here he is

Ziggler's a muppet so forget him.

I'm not blaming the guys. I think it's clearly a company decision (or most of it is) and it's one of the things making everything colourless.

Obviously people still have a gimmick but they can work within that. Rollins is decent in a suit, he should have worn one all the time as a heel and not the same one either. He sometimes switches his tights up but could do with it far more often.

Reigns should be in a jacket and jeans when he's not wrestling. He looks good with his hair tied up too and could do that Samoan plait thing. He could have two or three sets of gear too. Look how much of a difference it made when he just switched to red stitching that time.

Dean Ambrose has looked miles better walking around iun a T-Shirt instead of that vest that makes him look homeless.

Definitely, plus the unkempt beard is much better than the crappy sideburns that made him look like he worked on the waltzer.

Wear a title belt to a show. Cunt.

I went to the Smackdown house show in brum the other day and got a little pissed and almost bought a title belt on impulse. Is the rule only for people who take them or is it okay to leave with one? If you buy one there do you have to keep it in the bag until you get home?
