Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted August 8, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 8, 2015 From the BBC News website for some reason. Why do WWE wrestlers die young?
The King of Old School
Stuck Wrestlemania 3 on for a bit last night seeing as the family had an early night, Roddy Piper was ridiculously over. Â Had to laugh at the press conference declaring that this was his last match though.
Paid Members garynysmon Posted August 9, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) I wasn't even a fan when WM3 took place, but whenever I think of the WWF/E, the massive Silverdome and Hulk slamming Andre is the first thing that comes to mind. Ant
A lot of wrestlers are still making "fake" comments post Dana White tweets. Â Just read a British wrestler whinge on social media about getting injured for the umpteenth time this year and another wrestler pipes in with a Darcy "fake" comments. Â In my mind wrestling is supposed to stretch and take it's toll, but if you're getting injured all the time you or the guys you work with must be pretty shit at this "fake" sport. Paid Members FLips Posted August 9, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 9, 2015 Owen Hart through 1998 was midcard at best, and through 1999 to his death he was less than that, he was a lowercard bore who did nothing. When was he meant to be good or was it just a myth because he died?
LEGIT
Owen Hart through 1998 was midcard at best, and through 1999 to his death he was less than that, he was a lowercard bore who did nothing. When was he meant to be good or was it just a myth because he died? You can still be good and be midcard. Or even lowercard. Â He was great. Check out a lot of his matches from '94. Even had good matches teaming with 'Zuna throughout that time.
Ant
He was an awesome technician and he was over. Â I was lucky to see him vs Bret post Mania X. Excellent heel. Â I thought Vader's only absorbing match in WWE was against Owen at One Night Only. Â It's all opinion though.
Paid Members herbie747 Posted August 9, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 9, 2015 The new Kilq doc is great, but I noticed the quality really is a step down from what WWE usually do. The greenscreen interviews are poor - colours are washed out.

The King of Old School
Should Jack Swagger be in a better position than he is now? Â Just watched him have a really good match with The Big Show on Main Event, he had some pretty good fan support too. Â He looks good, is decent in the ring and they could really play up the whole "All American American" thing. Â So why isn't he higher up on the card? Thoughts? AshC
I thought he was a dreadful heel for much of his run, but then a revelation as a babyface, especially in that series with Rusev. I'd like to see them give him more in this current role, for sure.
Porkchopcash
Swagger looks like a tool. He reminds me of Biff from back to the future. He could be the best wrestler on the planet and he would still be where he is, at best. But he's shite anyway.
King Pitcos
Should Jack Swagger be in a better position than he is now? Â Just watched him have a really good match with The Big Show on Main Event, he had some pretty good fan support too. Â He looks good, is decent in the ring and they could really play up the whole "All American American" thing. Â So why isn't he higher up on the card? Thoughts? Â I think he's trapped by his past now. He's spent years and years doing nothing much, and it's hard to escape that. Similar to Chris Masters in his last WWE run. They'd occasionally get half an idea to feature him, but quickly go "ah, fuck him" and drop it. Â Plus, WWE has loads of wrestlers who are good to great. There are very few who don't fit that description nowadays. So you need the character and the backstory as well now, and Swagger (despite the world title win) has less backstory than Sheamus, Barrett, Ziggler, etc. It's a shame as well. Sexy Dad
I think Swagger would be suited to be being in a featured tag team again. I'd like to see him as a mentor to some of the amateur wrestler types from NXT such as Chad Gable etc and create a cocky jock type team of amateur wrestlers.
