Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted October 29, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted October 29, 2012 (edited) You only have to see this thread to see who is into it. A bloke who looks like a tree called Stormy Weathers and Richie Freebird. That's the audience they attract. Wrestling should be about putting on shows to attract families and homosexuals. They shouldn't have people rolling in needles and glassing themselves in the head in the ring, because if you do that you end up with people like Richie. A lad who gets kicked out of shows and then tries to defend the events he gets kicked out of as art. He's like the twat who Eric Cantona booted in the face. I've got nothing against you personally Richie, but you have no respect for wrestling the way you act on at live shows and cause trouble and get booted out and have wrestlers wanting to head butt you because you create such commotion. You kind of give up your right to call wrestling anything other than a form of entertainment that attracts dickheads when you pay money to act like a dickhead at shows. If you appreciated it as an art, that's all good. But getting pissed up before the event and getting chucked out before they started selling backstage passes is not the work of someone flying the flag. Richie Freebird
I suspect most people who claim deathmatch wrestling as such are only doing so in a feeble attempt to legitimise its existence and attempt to heighten its importance, or veil the fact that they're slightly ashamed to just admit that they just want to see fat cunts twat each other with light-tubes.I
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted October 29, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted October 29, 2012 In fairness, Richie, I wasn't claiming that you were one of the sort I was describing - I genuinely believe that you love this stuff and that you believe it is some kind of artform. I obviously totally and utterly disagree, but I'm not doubting the legitimacy of your views at all.As for pornography, I think it would be folly to describe all pornography as art because the vast majority of it really isn't. I'm reviewing a site right now called Sex BFs which is basically a bunch of guys who have taken pictures of their cocks in the mirror on their iPhones. It's shit. It's certainly not art. Stormy Weathers
But getting pissed up before the event and getting chucked out before they started selling backstage passes is not the work of someone flying the flag. It's the work of someone flying a flag for self destruction and nihilism that goes hand in hand with the punk ethics of Deathmatch wrestling.Shit man I've been thrown out of rock shows for being too high, even my own show once. It's just the nature of the beast young men go to wrestling or music shows and get tanked up and with a view to letting out some blood lust or pent up aggression (or even just to get fucked up) they over do the stimulants and make twats of themselves and get thrown outAs for pornography, I think it would be folly to describe all pornography as art because the vast majority of it really isn't. You could probably write a book on the subject.

You could probably write a book on the subject. That's easy, if it's black and white and sold in large format hardback in Waterstones it's art. If it's in colour and sold in the top shelf of a garage it's porn.

Forrest
Richie gets a free pass from his drunken reprehensibleness because he comes across with a self-aware "he's a right card, isn't he?" manner that I love. Anecdotes like the above certainly add ticks to the pro column.
seanz25
Have to say and this is slightly on-topic slightly off but the picture of Richie made me laugh a heck of a lot. Have never met him personally however had a number of conversations with him back and forth when he was doing some work for a site I co-ran. Never once had a problem with him but never imagined him to look like that - Not sure, think it was the image I kinda had of him was totally different to what you actually look like, don't mean that in a bad way just made me chuckle. Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted October 29, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted October 29, 2012 Richie's got more pictures of himself on here than Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock put together. From Road Warrior Richie to doing jobs for the Warlord, he's all over the shop.

Forrest
If there is one person who I prefer never to see a photo of, it's Ian. I have a strange concoction of Jim Neidhart (from the Justice For Ian sig) and Andrew Dice Clay who spends his nights with Brutus and the boys that no actual flesh representation could possibly aspire to match.
