Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted February 28, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted February 28, 2012 (edited) My favourite death match has to be Mitsuharu Misawa and Go Shiozaki vs. Akitoshi Saito and Bison Smith back in 2009. A lack of selling for the finish, but it can be forgiven in a match of such importance. Edited February 28, 2012 by tiger_rick
Richie Freebird
Sexy Eddie LOL. Â Yeah, he does a bit of a stripper gimmick, and is quite prone to getting women out of the crowd into the ring to join in with his antics. He wrestles in a fucking thong, the dirty bastard. The Cum Doctor
Is it not Sexxxy Eddie? Â I don't mind deathmatches. There have been the occaisional few that have wowed me. Mainly from BJW. CZW's lot are a bit shit in fairness, and Thumbtack Jack seems to breed fucking stupidity. If anyone ever says "I want to be like him.", they should be shot to be put out of their misery. Â There's some decent stuff out there though. There's a Miyamoto vs. Sasaki match in particular that was incredible, and the deathmatch from the last Best of the Best was excellent. The sort of drama building match where CZW usually fails in those types of matches. I suppose it helps that Jun Kasai was in there.

He's finished now, through injury. Â Is it not Sexxxy Eddie? Â That's the correct spelling.
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted February 28, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted February 28, 2012 (edited) I quite like sexxxy eddie.  I'm weird with deathmatches, sometimes I really feel like watching them and get sick enjoyment from guys willing to do those brutal spots and the other half of the time I'm way too squeamish and can't watch them at all.  Oddly enough they're the only wrestling I don't really like watching when I'm stoned, normally weed makes me get into wrestling more more but with deathmatches the extra intensity from being high makes it too extreme for a 1999 WCW fan like me.  Danny Havoc vs Sexy Eddie the added barbarianism of both lads wrestling bare feet in a match featuring a full box of light tubes and a ring covered in drawing pins. Sadistic bastards! I was wincing when Danny did a spot of picking up some pins, and manually driving them right into the soles of Eddies feet,  Thumbtack Jack vs Nick Gage  Notable spots from this one include TJ taking a flap jack style move landing chest first onto the cinder blocks covered with drawing pins (nasty), the sick fuck got his revenge when he pulled out a handful of syringes and jammed them into Gage’s skull ..., and the finish was actually sickening: TJ hit Gage with a disgusting cross legged brain buster onto the breeze block  Got to admit Richie, like I said, I do enjoy deathmatches sometimes but these spots are way too extreme for me Edited February 28, 2012 by Steve 'Big' Jobs

The Cum Doctor
The light tube and tack spots don't bother me much anymore. I don't know if I've just been dumbed to them.
Adorable Adrian
I always cringe when Masada sticks these skewers into guys heads   And when Abdullah Kobayashi had these kenzans smashed into his head
Rey_Piste
Fucking hell! For all the stick MMA gets for being violent and on par with human cockfighting, but that stuff is fucking sickening. That guy pissing claret from his head must be a mentalist, if it was a MMA match that would've been a cuts stoppage. That's a fucking lot to go through for what looks like 50 people in a sports hall. They had better be paid a fucking fortune to do that.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted February 29, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted February 29, 2012 i was a big deathmatch fan back in the day, i rewatched some stuff not long back and just seeing what the guys put themselves through for so few people just blows my mind these days. Â Ive been collecting some of the Deathmatch Tournaments though that ive missed and i fully intend on cracking open and beer and watching them at some point. Â Yeah, seeing this thread has made me realise I haven't watched any deathmatches since like 2004, I'm fine with light tubes and thumbtacks in the back, drops from heights through several barbed wire tables etc. Â Seems guys have really been pushing it to extremes since then, that picture of the guy with skewers in his head made me gag, I've never seen skewers in a match, I must be behind the times.
