King Pitcos
Yeah, Zoostorm Gaming Desktop, down from £550. I'm looking to build a computer for around £3-400 and that seemed like about the best I'd get for the price, plus I wouldn't have to arse around with screwdrivers breaking everything. Paid Members Bettencourt Posted November 26, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted November 26, 2014 What were the specs like? It might pop again on Friday. If it does, I may be interested.
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted November 26, 2014 Awards Moderator Share Posted November 26, 2014 Did you ever read the e-book they put out tying up what would have been the 4th/final series? I never have, no. Is it worth a look? Â Managed to get the boxset tonight so that's one Christmas present for the other half sorted!

They've got another Zoostorm PC in the deals tomorrow at 2pm with an i5 CPU, but only onboard graphics I think.

Glass Smash
They seem to be a bit tight with their external hdd's. I thought they might've slipped a few 4 or 5TB's in their lightning deals.

Paid Members PunkStep Posted November 27, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted November 27, 2014 Chromecasts are sub £20 just about everywhere now, £18 in Tesco. What is Chromecast/what can it offer? I am an Android man so I'm sure whatever it is could benefit me.
Merzbow
Google are being dicks and have said they won't fix an issue that means many europeans get jittery video playback. It's a shame as it seems like an awesome bit of kit for the price.
Paid Members Surf Digby Posted November 27, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted November 27, 2014 Does anyone reckon it's actually worth going to a store at Midnight, or just wait until morning?
Loki
I love Chromecast - being able to cast Netflix onto it from your iPhone is really cool. Â It's not perfect, but for 20 quid it's a steal.
Paid Members Surf Digby Posted November 27, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted November 27, 2014  Does anyone reckon it's actually worth going to a store at Midnight, or just wait until morning? Unless it's specifically instore only, I'd do it online. Fuck waiting outside Game at midnight.  That's the arse of it. I can't get on the Curry's website, so won't know what's what unless I actually go in. Tesco is literally opposite my house though, so I may as well have a wander over. I may dig my Rocky Horror outfit out in case there's a crowd to stop me getting swamped.
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted November 27, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted November 27, 2014 I bought a Chromecast ages ago when they first got reduced to £20. I don't have Netflix so don't really feel I get much use out of it at all at the moment. Was hoping WWE Network would support it, but they don't (despite originally suggesting they would when they announced the Network launch). Works great for YouTube, but no good for watching videos cast straight from your browser (very laggy).  If anyone knows any decent apps or uses for it, I'd love some recommendations. Paid Members Surf Digby Posted November 27, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted November 27, 2014 Live Digbycast! Â I'm in Tesco. It's fucking bedlam already, and there's not a single security guard in sight. Â The alarms for electrical goods are going off, and there's a bloke swinging his basket round to get people out the way already. Â UpDigbydate! Â All in all a bit shit and not worth the carnage. Headphones, coffee makers, those Now TV boxes, some Blaupunkt TV's and not really much else. Â The side aisles are littered with the headphones and Now TV boxes, because people were just scooping everything near them into their trolley and then discarding them afterwards. I can't see me doing this next year.
