Paid Members FLips Posted October 16, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 16, 2025 Couldn’t sleep last night and watched the first two innings. Went to bed 2-0 up and feeling confident. Jesus christ. Quote
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted October 18, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 18, 2025 Shohei Ohtani is something else isn't he. I know he plays for the Dodgers but 10 strike outs on 6 innings pitched and 3 home runs is absolutely incredible. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted October 21, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 21, 2025 Can’t believe how close we came to our first World Series. I don’t blame Julio but watching him whiff at 6 balls in a row was painful. Quote
Paid Members johnnyboy Posted November 2, 2025 Paid Members Posted November 2, 2025 That was an absolute all-time game, but it would have made staying up way past my bedtime a bit sweeter had the result gone the other way. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted November 2, 2025 Paid Members Posted November 2, 2025 Something really miserable about the Mariners having the season of their lives and falling near the end, and then watching the Blue Jays also fall right at the last hurdle. At least it wasn't the Yankees I suppose, but christ. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted March 27 Paid Members Posted March 27 Happy Opening Day(ish) Mariners make next to no movement in the offseason, lose at home on opening day and in typical Mariners fashion score only HRs with nobody on base. They need to watch Moneyball. Here’s to another year of disappointment as a Mariners fan. Quote
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted March 27 Paid Members Posted March 27 Wonderful evening. Mets Vs Pirates at 515 with Skenes getting shelled out of the game in the first, then the Red Sox getting a rare opening day away win with Roman Anthony looking every bit an MVP candidate. 162-0 nailed on. Quote
Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted March 27 Paid Members Posted March 27 Mets had a great first game (innings) and we've really done well in the off season to strengthen. Just hoping we don't lose momentum and steam at the end like we seem to do most years. Carson Benge could really be a baller for us too. Quote
Paid Members seph Posted March 27 Paid Members Posted March 27 Cards edge out the Rays in a slugfest, Cubs get dicked by the Nats... what's there not to like? Quote
MVP RULZ Posted March 27 Posted March 27 It's crap that not everyone played on Opening Day So we start tonight vs the Rockies After last years surprising 79-83 record (a 17 win improvement) and only being mathematically eliminated with a coupe of games to go (in reality we were never really in position to make the playoffs but made a late push that kept it alive) hopes are higher than usual heading into the season A good season will be getting over .500 and challenging for the wildcard but the division is probably out of reach with the Mets, Phillies looking strong and a Braves team almsot certain to rebound from last year's poor season. Could have maybe done with adding a big power bat In the lineup to really push the team on but looks like it will be more of a small ball offense once again and out best hitter Stowers is already on the IL to start the season which isn't ideal. Sandy had a rough first 2-3 months coming back from TJ surgery and missing the entire 2024 season but looked to be recovering his form down the stretch and had an ERA under 3 for his last 8 starts so if he can keep that going it's a good anchor atop the rotation with Eury Perez and Max Meyer looking to really breakout this season the rotation should be fairly decent and keep us in games Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted March 31 Paid Members Posted March 31 ABS repeatedly overturning shit umpires like CB Bucknor is already making this one of my favourite seasons to watch. Takes 5 seconds and it’s completely penetrating the awful “untouchable” umpire union shit by having them unable to eject in a huff for being challenged and having to stand and take loss after loss. Jomboy has a video up where CB gets called out 5 times on the bounce and he’s gutted. Jomboy counts them up and if every call was challenged he’d have been overturned 20 times. I just saw another clip where Aaron Boone is talking shit at the Ump for 4 overturned calls, gets told “not another word” and 90 seconds later gets a 5th call overturned. It’s no wonder Angel Hernandez ducked out before this season. He’d have been in deep shit. Quote

Everything since I said this has been a disaster. Sox 1-5, but more than the record, it's that the offence has been all I feared prior to the season starting. Hugely disappointing this far. Quote
NeverYield Posted April 2 Posted April 2 ABS is the bollocks, no more doing what the fuck you want with reckless abandon and then chucking people out of the game. Now its, no hold up, let's get this on the jumbotron and see how shit your call is. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted April 2 Paid Members Posted April 2 I like that it goes both ways too (though mostly against Umps). Big Dumper had an awful challenge against the Yankees the other night. Top of the 1st, 1-1 with 1 out and nobody on, he for some reason challenges this call. I don’t know what’s got into him and I know it’s early doors but you’d never guess he was an MVP candidate last year. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted April 6 Paid Members Posted April 6 The poor form for the Mariners continues. The series against the Angels saw poor offense as usual but now also cracks in the defence. Julio’s no fly zone and Big Dumper’s home run bonanza feels like a lifetime ago. I can’t see us winning anything this season in this current form. Quote
