I hear that we may be making a visit to Cappielow on July 5th. Any news on that Haraga?

None of the fans up this way have really been talking about it so no news I'm afraid.

The game between Motherwell & Morton has been confirmed;

Motherwell will face Greenock Morton at Cappielow in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday 5th July (KO 7.45pm).

Not long away either. That's nice to see. Good to get some friendlies played at Cappielow in short order. We've got Walsall on the 13th as well, but that's the only friendlies arranged for Cappielow, although with the season starting shortly and St. Mirren on the 16th, I suppose that's understandable.

All going on at Ibrox...

Steven Whittaker rejects a deal which apparently would've made him our highest paid player. He's pretty good, but nowhere near that good and he was seriously off form midway through the season. I'd be happy with selling him and replacing him with a youngster or perhaps even bringing Foster back from Aberdeen.

Am I right in thinking someone was a Shettleston fan on here? If you are reading this, how do you rate Ryan Kennedy? Anyone else of any promise at the club?

He was solid at the back for Shettleston and they have missed him.

Why is all Rangers transfers being reported as Rangers rejecting clubs valuation of players, rather than clubs rejecting Rangers bids?

Well the reason is that... actually, you're wrong. The Cuellar story specifically states that Villa rejected the bid. As for Goodwillie, Rangers made an enquiry rather than a bid, so that explains that one.

Paranoia, paranoia, everybody's coming to get me...

It also seems we're going to miss out on Craig Conway as he is probably Cardiff-bound, which I'm especially gutted about. Champions League football should be enough of a draw to convince players, so we're obviously not offering enough money, and that's to someone who's available on a free.

EDIT: we've officially missed out on Conway, he's gone to Cardiff City.

What's Conway like? I had never heard of him until I read we signed him, surprising to see a player chose us over an old firm team, normally goes the other way.

Peterhead confirm the signing of Rory McAllister. Shocking.

Peterhead Football Club are delighted to announce to signing of Rory McAllister, one of the hottest prospects in Scottish football, on a two year contract.

The 24-year-old has been courted by a host of clubs such as St Johnstone, Aberdeen and St Mirren in Scotland, as well as Sheffield United, Charlton and Port Vale down south all having been linked with him.

Rory, who scored 29 goals for Brechin City in the Second Division last season, was also named the Irn Bru Second Division player of the year, and Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) winner. He becomes John Sheran

Hearts statement

24.06.2011

The Hearts Board of Directors has issued the following statement in relation to outside influences on players and the club.

"What's happening with the club today is not a new thing. For almost 7 years we have been fighting to shield the club from crooks, criminals and thieves. Many of the top players at the club have felt the bitter results of the swindles that have been carried out with them on their own skin. Skacel and Webster have returned to the club after realising where these 'football patriots' have led them.

"Over a short space of time 4 players at our club have been on the wrong end of the law. We note that 3 of them are represented by the same agent - Gary Mackay - who has been so vicious in his attacks against Mr Romanov.

"Taking into account the facts that have been omitted by the media it can be presumed that each of these cases is not a coincidence, but the result of targeted actions of a mafia that wants to manipulate the club and the results.

"Every year Hearts fights to be in the top 3, but even last season in the last 12 games of the season it was almost like someone replaced the team with a different one. Whose fault is that? Players? Manager's? Or it is mafia.

"Stealing players, bad games, problems with the law - all of that on top of record SFA fines. Problems are just shifted to another level.

"Mafia are dragging kids into the crime, in order to blackmail and profit on them. It is not possible to separate these people from pedophiles, and you don't need to do that. Each year we are forced to fight against these maniacs harder and harder. We are standing in their way not letting them manipulate the game of football in the way they want. As such they undermine us in every possible way they can.

"The task of the club is to tear these kids out of hands of criminals."

To the Shettleston fan, they got saved from relegation a few days ago, the league suddenly decided to change their relegation rules about four weeks after the season ended due to the fact Rossvale will be newly admitted to the league below them. As you can imagine, a bit of a furore has ensued.

Gary Mackay took photos of the players cock and sent them to the underage girl, then he also sold the drugs to Ian Black and then arranged for one of his "mafia" chums to run from the crowd and attempt to lay one on Lennon.

Yes - it's clearly all Gary Mackay's fault. How he finds the time I'll never know.

I'm very surprised at the Craig Thomson decision, regardless of whether there are "other factors" to the case or not, I can't imagine there are any that paint his actions in a better light. It really puts the coaching staff in an awkward position. Do they play him and deal with the burden of playing a convicted sex offender, or do they freeze him out and potentially face the wrath of the chairman? Given his track record of firing people that's probably not something they're going to want to deal with.

Very uncomfortable situation all round.
