Rubbish draw, I'm sick of Albion Rovers.

I'll definately be going to that. Looking forward to getting back to Cappielow. I just hope we aren't all thrown into the main stand.

Unfortunately I won't be there. My budget is stretched with the Leeds game & Craigan's testimonial.

Comedy transfer story of the Summer.

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/spl/...86908-23239757/

CRAIG BROWN Brown last night revealed he was offered the chance to sign former Rangers striker Nacho Novo.

The Dons boss is on the lookout for a frontman after losing Chris Maguire to Derby - but knew the Red Army would revolt if he brought in the Spaniard.

Aberdeen supporters' history is well documented when it comes to explosive matches against the Ibrox club but Novo was one of their real hate figures.

He was sent off at Pittodrie for a terrible tackle on Stuart Duff on a dramatic night in May 2008 when Celtic clinched the title at Tannadice.

Then he was fined and severely censured by the SFA for giving Dons fans the finger at the same venue in November 2009.

That was also when he was pictured mooning - so Brown knew right away Novo was a no-go for Aberdeen.

Brown, who yesterday completed the signing of midfielder Isaac Osbourne on a two-year deal, said: "We had a striker offered to us.

"But as soon as I heard the name I knew we couldn't bring him to Aberdeen.

He's an ex-Rangers player who has a bit of previous with our supporters and that wouldn't work.

"I am not going to bring someone here that would anger the fans. We want to make them happy and proud of this club and its players."
