In terms of majors, what’s Littler got left to win? European, Players, Master?

Yep, just those three. Players Finals, he was runner up last year so wouldn’t count him out. And he’s had a good Euros Tour this year so I could see him picking them both up. But he’s already completed the top four with the Worlds, Matchplay, Grand Prix and UK Open at only 18, which is mad.

I expected a lot closer of a game between the Lukes. So yeah, anticlimactic. Humphries looked annoyed at himself and rightly so, he could’ve capitalised on a few mistakes.

In other youth news, Beau Greaves has got herself a tour card for next year (if she accepts it) after a great year on the development tour. I hope she does, because she has all the potential in the world to be the first woman to win a major title.

Littler isn't in the Players yet this year. He has not won enough money in the Pro Tour tournaments to qualify yet as they take the top 64 based on this year's prize money. MVG isn't on either. I think Littler will qualify, but MVG faces more of a struggle.

As for Beau, will she take a Tour Card? If she does she can't play on the women's tour and half the prize money she has won this year comes from that, and will she do enough in 2 years to keep it?

Forgot about that. But he’s only a couple of spots out from it and he can easily jump Keane Barry. I don’t blame him for not showing up for the Pro Tours much, but I think he will now to try completing the set.

Both himself and Van Veen are going to the World Youth Qualifiers tomorrow. Maddening. They don’t need it.

I think she would do enough. She’s better than a lot of the players on the tour. She’s got to take the plunge at some point. Turned down a Worlds before to go defend in the WDF. Fine. Turned down some other events that could get her on the rankings. Q School is so brutal, this is a great opportunity and to progress and challenge herself. She can’t do anymore on the women’s tour.

She was on Huw Ware’s podcast a while back, she said she would go for it next time it came up. She should be top 64 without any question, probably top 32. I saw her beat some geezer 6-0 on a pro tour. She also beat Josh Rock, averaging over a ton to do it, and Barney as well, though that’s obviously not as big of a deal these days.

Last time I saw her on the pro tour, she lost 6-5 to Littler and it was a brilliant game. He went and lost to Rob Cross in the next round, playing absolute shite.

What’s in it for Littler playing the World Youth? Can’t be worth that much money and he’s already the big boy world champion. Doesn’t make sense.

I think the challenge of being in two finals in one night. He could play the World Youth final and then immediately play in the Players Finals final if he qualifiers/gets that far. Same for Van Veen. Less likely. I also think he’s a bit bored and that’s why he wants that challenge. There are some good youth players coming through.

He’s won it before, but he’s got age on his side where he can win it a record amount of times before he’s aged out.

I don’t think it was being streamed so had to resort to some Ceefax-esque checking of the dartconnect website.

She lost with a higher average than him in that floor tournament match, so fair’s fair. Checked out the final leg in 11 darts to win it. Amazing stuff.

Incredible day. Wish it was streamed but fun to watch along on Dartconnedt. Littler, Van Veen, Manby and Greaves all played some fantastic stuff. So pleased for Greaves getting into the final. I hope she does it. Will be a fun, fast paced match. Made better by that wonderful throw Beau has.

Littler needs a decent run in one of the remaining ones.

Sorry for quoting myself like a wanker but Littler won today so that sees him up to 34 on the Players Championship rankings which sees him qualify. MVG didn't play today so he only has two more chances.

MVG went home last night. Think he’s gone on holiday. Getting divorced during a big decline in form (discounting that World Series Finals win as that’s a nothing tournament) has really fucked him. He’s shown glimpses of the player he once was. But it all looks like struggle for him. I can’t see him showing up for the next two events tbh.

I’m sure I heard them say on commentary for one of the matches in PC 32 that MVG won’t be doing the final two floor tournaments and is deffo missing the players championship finals.

Littler was unlucky on Tuesday, he just ran into the 2024 version of Stone Cold Ritchie Edhouse. He was incredible beating Bunting in the semi final on Wednesday, an absolute monster. The poor geezer in the final, Dirk Bomboclaat or whoever it was, had no chance.

He won’t be, no. He’s going to Dubai. He probably doesn’t care tbh.

I feel for Edhouse. Didn’t qualify for the European Championship and won’t be defending his title. Partly not qualifying for enough events and progressing in tournaments and also the stupid Top 16 rule the PDC brought in a couple of years ago.

If this isn't someone's name, it bloody well should be.

Seems like every PC I watch has Bunting playing great and having a deep run. Seems to be crazy consistent in these. All the stranger when he hasnt really done much in the majors in the same time, and got embarrassed in the Premier League.

Littler in the final was phenomenal too. Will he be bored of darts in 5 or 10 years? Cant see any other way how he just doesn't dominate for years to come. I guess the standard is so high and deep now that there is a decent amount of players out there who can beat him if they play 9 or 10 out of 10 and Litter plays an 8 out of 10.
