He’s facing Menzies on Monday afternoon. Beau Greaves has Gurney next Friday and wouldn’t rule out her beating him. But Manby for an outside bet. I’d bet on Bradley Brooks beating Joe Cullen tomorrow as he continues he’s drop in form. Quote
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted December 13, 2025 Paid Members Posted December 13, 2025 Paul Lim. What a man. 71 years old. Into the next round. What a great bloke he is. Quote
Dai Posted December 13, 2025 Author Posted December 13, 2025 Wasnt pretty to watch from a quality point of view, but you could even feel the crowd, most of which seem to be drunk idiots, were still really rooting for him to win. Humphries next for him, so it wont be pretty for him. Speaking of, Humphries looked excellent for spells in this match. Nijman looked very good also, and Anderson did enough against probably the best person to play a seed so far. Quote

Shocked with this, as I was just about to predict a good run for him, as he's been playing some great stuff. The pundit (Smurf?) on the darts show podcast predicted Harryson to go on a bit of a run. Rode his luck with Smith missing those match darts but he did his bit and took his chances. Ever since I saw him smashing out ton+ averages on the pro tour, he’s been my own personal darts hero, so I’m glad he’s through. Glad to see one of my boys Nijman through. Quote
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted December 14, 2025 Paid Members Posted December 14, 2025 The decline of alcoholic weirdo Dimitri Van Den Bergh is a joy to see. Absolutely shocking performance. Wesley Plaiser is a proper darts player in the John Henderson/Andrew Gilding category - big ugly bastard who throws a good dart. He looks like a cross between Gunther and the big creepy baby from Rugrats. Quote
Dai Posted December 15, 2025 Author Posted December 15, 2025 Yeah, that Van Den Bergh performance was abysmal. If you were to ask a random non darts fan to do a mock up of a darts player, then it would be Plaiser. All he would need is a few pints on his table. Bunting looked like he was coasting to an easy win, but ended up nearly getting knocked out. Showed his class in the last few legs though. More Now TV moaning: They do a 'highlights' show of the previous day, which is only 50 minutes long, and there is no way to watch the full programme from the day prior. What makes it even more annoying is that they show pretty much the full walk ons for the players. Why!? Ditch that, and give me the 5 more minutes of highlights for each match. The whole layout of the website is the shits too. Quote
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted December 15, 2025 Paid Members Posted December 15, 2025 Cameron Menzies taking his loss well. Guys mental. Quote
Dai Posted December 16, 2025 Author Posted December 16, 2025 Theres a vid of it on the Sky Sports website for this event, and it shows the state of his hand afterwards. Lots of blood from it. Crazy stuff. Managed to watch the full Dirk match, which was a cracker. Great standard. That checkout Baetens when Dirk was on a 10 darter was a cracker. Quote

They have full match replays on there about 24 hours after. Currently they’ve got all of Sunday up, prob the deal with Sky limits how soon they can release it. Quote

Nah, but I think I might have too. The Now app is truly abysmal. They have only just put up last nights evening session, and nothing for the afternoon one. So annoying. For 36 quid for a months pass, surely its not too much to ask for to watch the replays. On Sky Go, does it give you the optin to rewatch the full programme from the night before? If it does, I think Id rather pay someone I know who has a Sky package so I can watch it that way. Edited December 16, 2025 by Dai Quote

They used to replay the whole thing in the early hours or just before the afternoon session the next day when they had a dedicated darts channel for this time of year. Back to Menzies, he tried to burn his hand on the pyro after the game before punching the fuck out of the table. He’s clearly got problems. He fell to the floor after winning a match on the pro tour after nearly been in tears going to a last leg decider. I thought Michael Smith was bad with his emotions. He needs an anger management course. Quote
Dai Posted December 16, 2025 Author Posted December 16, 2025 Crazy in this day and age that you can't watch the biggest tournament of the year in full on demand anywhere. Literally the only option is to go old school and record it on a sky box. Cant get my head around it. Now does show the evening session at 6-10, but you can't pause it and watch it at your leisure because the show just crashes once 10am goes. I was wondering what Menzies was doing crouching down just before that outburst, makes sense now. Crazy stuff! Quote
Dai Posted December 18, 2025 Author Posted December 18, 2025 Sad to see Barney lose like that. Looked good for him the first leg, as well. Suprised to see Niko Springer lose as well. This evenings session looks like it should be a cracker too. As an aside, I have actually found a place that shows the full replay from the day before. Peacock US shows the Sky Sports feed live, and also chucks up the full replays quickly too. A quarter of the price of Now, a miles better app, and the ability to watch the WWE Network means that when theres a break in the darts you can quickly chuck on a random WCW PPV from the 90s for a few minutes. Dai Posted December 18, 2025 Author Posted December 18, 2025 Think its more sad watching father time catch up with him, as it makes me think its doing the same for myself. Was similar with Whitlock the other day too. Quote
