Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted November 6, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2019 http://www.darkhorizons.com/james-dean-resurrected-for-finding-jack/ Someone acquired the rights to James Dean's image and he will be resurrected in CGI to star in a war movie. Cinematic dystopian end times continues.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted November 6, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2019 Nobody has yet been able to explain what the point is of this. James Deen would be a bigger box office draw in 2019 than James Dean.
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted November 6, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2019 It's practice for bringing back Paul Walker as a full time CGI actor.

But I don’t get the need to do this. I wonder if this is just a PR stunt and the film never gets made

From googling this didn't seem like a film that would get a lot of attention;Â directors haven't done much of note, based on a book that some people like I guess. After this announcement, everyone is talking about the film. It'll definitely get a lot of attention when it comes out if only for this one weird trick... Merzbow
So it looks like Universal are continuing with the reboots of their monster franchises, they just released a trailer for The Invisible Man and it looks like it could be half decent. Factotum
Think they were right to let Blumhouse look after these. You don't have to make them huge budget bonanzas.
Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted November 7, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted November 7, 2019 (edited) Yeah this is part of the reboot of the reboot Dark Universe, though wiseley they have not announced anything more yet. But the plan is, if this is a success, that Blumhouse will do more of the Universal Monsters. It looks great, yet I cannot help but feel the trailer once again gave away too much. But I will be seeing that opening weekend. UPDATE - Director has come out and said the trailer doesn't give too much away after all. Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted November 7, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted November 7, 2019 Blumhouse are often extremely shit but Elisabeth Moss is the best so I might have a look.
Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted November 7, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted November 7, 2019 Blumhouse are often shit? As in Get Out, Split, The Gift, Halloween, Whiplash and BlackKkKlansman Blumhouse? I mean, even some of The Purge films were fun.
