Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted June 11, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted June 11, 2015 Ron Moody passed away as well - only ever saw him in Oliver!, but he was incredible in that movie
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted June 11, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted June 11, 2015 Christopher Lee was a great actor. That voice was just amazing. He was in a lot of shite over the years but he also managed to turn in some really fantastic performances too. Obviously The Wickerman was his best. Â 93 though, that's a bloody good innings. Guest
I teally enjoyed Jurassic world too, coud have done without the military sub plot, but rest was fine. was sceptical of how the new I-Rex Would look, but it wasn't as rediculous as I had expected before I seen it. Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted July 2, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted July 2, 2015 https://youtu.be/Uv554B7YHk4 Â Trailer for Creed, the Rocky spinoff about Apollo Creed's son becoming a boxer. Â It looks ok, maybe a bit modern and mopey, the fact that Rocky is in it elevates it massively. I probably wouldn't be at all fussed about seeing it if Sly wasn't there, it really ties it to the franchise and makes me want to check it out. Â I hope it had a decent over the top, Rocky style heel. I thought that was lacking from Rocky Balboa, there should always be a larger than life crazy baddie boxer to make you really root for the protagonist,it makes it so much easier to get involved. Â It doesnt look modern and mopey looks more like a 'homage/remake of the original Rocky with Rocky in the Mick Role.. Â No indicator of if that's bad or good, but so many hints in the trailer is ridiculous
Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted July 3, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted July 3, 2015 Michael B Jordan’s Creed looks like he should be carrying on the Bubba Gump legacy, instead of his papi’s.
Paid Members chokeout Posted July 3, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted July 3, 2015 No Son of Apollo Creed would have such a poor moustache. They should have just had Carl Weathers play his own son. Â
The Clint
Going by when the Rocky movies were made Apollo's son should be around 40 by now. I'm sure I can remember a scene from Rocky II when Apollo's wife mentions their kids.
Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted July 3, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted July 3, 2015 At least 30, if your wan was carrying Creed's Seed unbeknownst to her when Drago killed him. Unless they're setting it around 2010 or something...
The Clint
Just had a look at Rocky II and you see his son running around in a scene from Apollo's house and he looks at least 4 or 5 yrs old. Rocky II was made in 1979 so yeah he would be around 40. Edited July 3, 2015 by The Clint
PSF
Yeah, there is no reason it has to be set in 2015. Just as long as it was set after the last Rocky film. How old was Rocky in that?
The Clint
Yeah you can't really go off those Rocky timelines at the end of the day Rocky's own son was around 8 before he went to Russia and when he came back he was about 14.
