Loki
It's not looking good, is it?
LiamTheGreat
That helmet makes him look like a bad cosplayer or a Red Dwarf extra. The actual uniform isn't as shoddy as the Stallone one, but there's very little of the fascistic overtones of the comic design. And I'm not even one of those "Ugh, where's the fucking eagle?" fans
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted February 7, 2012 Moderators Share Posted February 7, 2012 I haven't seen it in a long time, but I remember quite enjoying the Stallone one. Is it really that bad? Â I'm not too precious about the character of Judge Dredd, although I did used to enjoy the comics.
LiamTheGreat
A lot of the visuals haven't aged too well. Like watching the first series of Red Dwarf after a few years. Mean machine and hammerstein still looks good, the lawgiver and lawmaster still look excellent and some of the sets are ok. But the only really good thing in the film is still Ian Dury's cameo. But then I'm one of those who still read 2000AD and could just about stomach Dredd taking his helmet off, but not snogging Hershey

Its not brilliant, but its not as shite as people would have it made out to be. So, its not like the comic book, so fucking what? Ive never got that side of the argument
Jas
Machete Kills (machete 2) to begin filming in april  That Spiderman trailer looks STUNNING
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted February 7, 2012 Moderators Share Posted February 7, 2012 It looks sweet. Everything I see about this new spiderman makes me think this is going to be a million times better than the shitty Tobey MacGuire films. I can't help getting hyped.. I just hope I'm not building myself up for a disappointment.
Joey Joe Joe Jr
The lighting in the Spider-Man trailer really stood out to me. Story and themes are pretty much the same. Though I wasn't too sure on Garfield as a fit for a nerd like Parker, he might bring some humour to the role and his gangly frame looks like it would look cool flying around. Paid Members chokeout Posted February 7, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted February 7, 2012 Complete with missing Hulk visual effect! That one's been rushed out  What parts got missing Hulk effects?
Loki
In the rotating camera shot of them all standing in a circle, one moment the Hulk's not there, the next he is! They forgot to composite him in in the first second. Â Edit, cos I'm a nerd and looked at it again - at 42seconds, no Hulk. At 44 seconds, there WAS a Hulk. Keith Houchen
Yeah I went and had a look, can't that be excused/fobbed off as the camera would have been beside Hulk on the first spin. He does appear from nowhere as if it's the end of Cloverfield though.
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted February 7, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted February 7, 2012 So, its not like the comic book, so fucking what? Ive never got that side of the argument  How on earth can you not get that side of the argument? Surely you can understand that people may want things to be close the the source material they're an adaptation of?    Also Hulk isn't missing, he's stepping backwards into the circle. What's the point?  I didn't say it had to be exactly the same, I just said surely you can understand why people may want things to be close to the source material.  I don't mind when things stray from the source material if they do it well, Judge Dredd changed some things that are fundamental to the character and the movie suffered massively for it.  Jesus, what's with you today?
