It’s akin to say a boxer or MMA fighter doing charity football/American football games on the side and breaking a bone or tearing a knee/muscle during a fight camp, you just wouldn’t do it

I feel for NWL as I bet they lose out on this with any upfront costs. I'm not really sure why they booked him, as Angle is already there but that's another discussion.

Even with that, I'm very curious as to what kind of audience it would attract - not just in terms of numbers, but you have someone who is very openly a MAGA type with extremely problematic views. He may have interesting stories to tell, but so would Rudy Giuliani if you were to bring him over to discuss his experiences of 9/11. I'm not sure how I feel about companies like Inside the Ropes putting money in the pockets of someone like Hager. Maybe they should be more selective about who they work with, I don't know.

I stumbled upon “PowerSlap” and genuinely thought it was referring to some kind of homage to Power Slam. Back in the day it could have been the companion piece. An email supplement for news tidbits too brief and numerous for the mag proper.
