Ha, I think this is how it started before.

I don't think of myself as supporting them, if it helps. I just like football, and I don't like travelling 2 or 3 hours for the privlege.

So, i'll pop along, enjoy the game, cheer the home team and leave again. It's fine. Football is the winner.

I've also been a regular attendee at Dulwich Hamlet, and when we lived in the States I used to go to New York City and Red Bulls games.

Non-league is positively encouraged. League One & Two is fine. Foreign games are ace. Another team in your league is diabolical. Those are the rules.

Not my fault Cov got good. Give it a year, it'll right itself.

In my defence, this will be the first year it'll ever be same league so that is odd.

But still, Premier League football on your doorstep. You can't turn that down. Our carpark door practically opens up into the stadium. We share a building with the Brentford community stadium. It's literally a 7 second walk to the turnstiles. That has to be a loophole to the rule.

Yeah I've been diehard Celtic for years since I finally stopped letting everyone else try and tell me who to support but I'll happily pop down and watch Hereford at Edgar Street a few times a year because hometown. 

Once went to a Bath City game at Uni, we swapped sides at half time and supported Wealdstone as I was with a Danish exchange student and he wanted to meet the Raider...

I love football, I love non league football, but I went once and thought it was absolutely shit. Really forced and non authentic for me. Bit like every Premier League club sure.

When I worked for DAZN before moving to the States, HQ was in Feltham and I have a vague memory of going because DAZN (or maybe it's predecessor SportPlayer) had given them a few quid for kit or to heat chips or something.

Oh, and if anyone really wants to have their head fall off, I worked at Ipswich for a year between the end of 2023 and end of 2024 so went to every game of them being promoted and into Prem (as staff), and really cheered Ipswich beating Cov as I wanted to work in the Prem for a bit before I left.

The football industry is an odd one. I worked a lot with Arsenal when I was in boxing, as Frank is a big Arsenal fan, and so many senior Arsenal staff are Spurs fans. And vice versa too. When we did the Lyndon Arthur/Anthony Yarde weigh-in at West Ham, all those lot were Chelsea fans.

Don't necessarily disagree with this. They definitely overly conmercialise it compared to rivals. I enjoyed it enough, lots of people I knew went.

I don't like to get into the "Who is the best football fan?" pissing contest, because it's normally contested by absolute wankstains but, you've got fans getting on buses at 3:30am to get to lunchtime kick-offs on Sky to see their team and you want a loophole to watch another team in your back garden. Cov would rather have Jimmy Savile as a fan, I reckon.

My ex works for a club and they actively like it that way. It shows you want the job for the brand rather than the club.

Yeah when I took the Ipswich job they wanted someone who wasn't too caught up in what it meant to be a fan.

And, often times, senior leadership teams at clubs come from other clubs or different locations. The CEO, Former Chair, COO and CFO at Ipswich are all big Baggies fans.

The CEO actually, after Ipswich got promoted, went on the Town TV thing to show off a fresh Ipswich Town tattoo; despite being born and bred West Brom.

I'm a Cov fan, and had a season ticket every year I lived there (and a few for after I left). I also love live football, and I am quite happy going to games at whatever ground is nearest and cheering on (usually) the home team.

I'd never do Leicester or Villa like, but over the years i've been a regular attendee at Stamford Bridge when I lived that way as well as Fulham, did the Emirates quite a bit when I lived in Camden; and, now, we've just moved to the new-build flats next to the G Tech so i've got myself a club membership and will try and go to as many games as I can.

Up the Bees, or whatever they say.

Man United is my team but I also follow Aston Villa and Leeds(I lived there for a bit).

It's fine to like more then one team. 

I also like Coventry because I had my favourite ever save on Football Manager with them.
