There's a lot of similarities in football, with people trying to make a buck off signed stuff at training grounds and make themselves "influencers", while a lot of famous women attract unwanted attention online but there's another level of creepiness with wrestling fans, their opinions and their demeanour around women. I don't know if the stereotypes of them being absolute losers who've never seen a boob are fair but they sure as hell live up to it a lot of the time. They're giving us fucking romeos who have slept with over 0.5 women a bad name. Quote

She handles it well, and just switches off the smile and pleasant nature she had towards him and starts walking away from him, but just... fucking hell. You've got to imagine this happens pretty constantly. It's a big deal that she's there, and some dickhead is immediately making sure she's reminded that she was the victim of some pretty horrible stuff. Quote

WyattSheepMask Posted April 21 Posted April 21 (edited) I’m sure the vast majority of fans, whether that be for wrestling or music or whatever, are perfectly decent and behave impeccably, it’s just a shame that there seems to be a very loud minority that seem determined to make everyone think that we’re all a bunch of twats. There definitely does seem to have been an adoption of the “well i’ve paid my money/bought a ticket, I’ll do what I want” mentality in recent years, especially since the pandemic, which unfortunately seems to have bled into following people at hotels, airports or whenever else. I’m not saying that I was never guilty of waiting to meet a band after a gig, I did that a bunch of times in my teens & early 20s, but it was only ever at the venue, which I think they expect to happen. I’d never dream of following them to whenever they were staying or travelling on from though, that’s just mental @tiger_rick - you mentioned about similar incidents in football. Most have said sure and it was all respectful. When I’ve been told no, I’ve apologised for disturbing them and wished them a good day. That’s all anyone should do. If you’re told no, respect their boundaries. If someone looks in a rush/busy/trying to remain inconspicuous, leave them the fuck alone. Quote
