In the true spirit of his name, good ol' Phil has been exploding with punk attitude by swatting a phone out of a fans hands who was seemingly filming AJ Lee and Bayley in a Las Vegas hotel lobby:

(Spoiler - don't click on the comments if you're still Likely Ladding the result of WM.

So what's your take? A bit over the top? Or should some fans learn to wind their necks in?

Personally I wished he gone a bit further and snatched the phone and punted it across the lobby, cos y'know anarchy, punk etc.

All hotel and airport stalkers should be actively discouraged.

Second best thing he did over the weekend after the Roman match. Wrestling fans are the worst. Get the fuck out of lobbies. Get the fuck out of airports. If you want to meet and greet wrestlers go to meet and greet events.

Mania gear spoiler.

Spoiler

Funny that it’s becoming tradition though. CM Punk delivering a ripper in gorgeous white gear? Someone’s getting chinned before the night is out!

Going to take this as a term, I think, brilliant. 😂

Saw some reports the MGM was pretty lackluster in their support for the wrestlers and crew with making it easy to get in and our the hotel without being bombarded by the anti-deodorant club. That's pretty shocking on its own considering this is not the first time they've dealt with wrestling.

Perhaps I’m being very ignorant here, but surely any scrutiny here should be on WWE and their travel and accommodation arrangements (or lack of them) for wrestlers rather than the hotel itself?

No, that's a good point two. Quite honestly both organizing parties should have done a better job of communicating. Without knowing what went on its hard to know who actually did drop the ball. There's a lot of reasons people could have had access to the wrestlers from no precautions being put in place, lazy security or even just wrestlers not being arsed to take organised transport and routes so they had to walk through from Uber to lifts as nobody knew they would be in those places.

An 8 billion dollar company and they won't even pay for some basic security for the performers over the biggest/busiest weekend of the year.

How much would say 50 security guards (around the hotel, cars, airport lobbys) have cost them? Fuck all for an event that size. Especially since we keep hearing more and more about the women getting harassed and touched.

Nash said there was lackluster catering too. TKO really are penny pinching scum.

I wonder will the talent just roll with it when cryptobros get to pay a few million quid to be an authentic lumberjack in the WWE Lob Mob experience.

These 'fans', it's not even like most of them are just excited to meet their favourites. They're constantly trying to get content for their own social media channels, whether they're an actual recognised creator or not.

From a talent perspective, it must be like we've made 95% of the fan population into horrible TMZ/paparazzi style gonzo journalists.

Awful. Chin him like a Young Buck, Phil.

There’s just something so wonderfully Nash about this. Punk and Roman having a belter whilst he stares at a lacklustre buffet lamenting the lack of a teppanyaki grill. Wearing the purple polo shirt that was his attire in the TNA Impact game for some reason.

Its always been the case that fans would wait outside arenas etc waiting for wrestlers’ autographs.

But it all feels so much more cynical now doesn’t it?

And how many autographs etc end up on ebay the next day?

And where you once had a stream of kids waiting for autographs (or at least adults dragging a kid along with then to pretend it was the child that wanted the autograph/photo), it increasingly seems to be a gaggle of blokes in their 30’s and 40’s with, erm, limited social skills shall we say?

Wrestling is a strange beast in that lawyers and teachers will watch the shows, but the fanbase is also undoubtedly over represented by really weird (usually) men who don’t have much going for them and little real life interaction with women.

Didn’t Elayna Black also have an incident with someone touching her up at Wrestlecon?
