As for the Casino winner, you’re right - MJF could not do that. His title reigns have been so enjoyable that the prospect of him as champ again doesn’t feel stale, so I’m willing him on to win this match and hold the belt once more. I know we have The Two Women’s Matches but there’s so many great women who aren’t on the card. Much as I’m happy for Maya World I do wonder if Statlander or Shida win the title next week to set something up. I’d be very happy if we got Thekla back to challenge. I’d be made up if there was a mystery opponent and we got a Toni Storm return. I’d take a battle royal just to get a bunch of these ladies on the Wembley card. But something, please. Quote
Paid Members BomberPat Posted August 14 Paid Members Posted August 14 It'll be gutting if Thekla isn't on the show at all, she's done amazing work all year and it would be a shame to miss the big one. My assumption is that, pre-injury, Willow Nightingale was due to win the Owen Hart Cup, Mercedes would have returned during Willow's victory celebration, and then Mercedes would have beaten Thekla for the Women's belt somewhere in-between to get to a title vs. title match at Wembley. The TBS Title picture certainly feels like they've been booking on the fly since Willow's injury. As much as Willow and Mercedes is the match, I'm disappointed we didn't get Mercedes vs. Thekla, as I think the audience are 100% ready to start cheering for Thekla against a bigger heel. There's a four-way on Dynamite next week - Statlander vs. Maya World vs. Shida vs. Persephone - that feels a bit like tying up all the loose ends of that story, to get to whatever they're doing with the TBS belt for All In; Thunder Rosa is knocking around that storyline as well, though that might be more about setting up Persephone vs. Thunder Rosa in CMLL. I have a suspicion that Kay Lee Ray shows up at Dynamite/Collision in Glasgow the week of All In too, so whether she ends up in the mix I don't know. I very much doubt we see Toni Storm again this year. At least with the men, it's pretty clear there will be a Trios Title match announced, and anyone else unaccounted for you can guess will be in the Casino Gauntlet (though I'd love to know where the Motor City Machine Guns have been for the last two weeks!), but with the women it's a toss-up whether they make the show at all. I assume in both counts there will be a bunch of big wacky pre-show matches announced too, though. Quote

I'd love to see a straight trios of Hangman/Brodido vs Swerve and mystery partners but I'm guessing they're going to go add The Demand and maybe another team for a big fuckfest which is far less interesting. How easy is it to pick up a ticket like 24 hours before? Plus National Express buses etc, kinda feeling this could be a laugh for a day out. Quote

Currently with 8 confirmed, if they follow the previous 2 years, there should be 1 more match for the main show and 3 for the pre-show. I'm surprised FTR haven't come back yet, initally I thought they might end up facing Kofi/Austin but it looks like they'll be teaming with Swerve instead. I guess MCMG could be an option but you would have expected them to be featured more since their debut. We may also still get some kind of match between The Death Riders/Dogs and Bullet Club Gold Quote

Paid Members Statto Posted August 15 Paid Members Posted August 15 On their first night it looked like MCMG were going to be the two to make up the numbers in whatever Bang Bang Gang vs Dog Riders turned out to be (White / Juice / Austin / Colton / Ace / Sabin/ Shelley vs. Claudio / Pac / Yuta / Garcia / Finlay / Connors / Kidd) but they've been nowhere to be seen since that run-in at the end of the night. I'm still pinning my hopes on them riffing off the "There is... another team..." Hardys return/New Day as hosts thing to get either FTR, Kofi/Creed or both into the tag title match. Although actually - maybe ex-New Day coming in as heels with Swerve would be more fun. Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted August 26 Paid Members Posted August 26 To lead into this weekend’s show, ITV4 are showing All In 2025 tomorrow night (Thursday 27th) at 9pm, then Double or Nothing 2026 on Saturday 29th at 10:30pm. If anyone hasn’t seen it, Double or Nothing 2026 is legitimately one of the best shows of all time. The highest of all recommendations. I can’t remember what happened at All In 2025. My memory has been clouded by disappointing brunch companion choices. Quote
