A really nice tribute show, and it feels a bit weird to try and critique it, but I’m going to at least in one aspect. Jay White is on the verge of a breakout year, I suspect - and deservedly so, he’s a tremendous babyface. But fucking hell, let’s have a complete ban on using ‘LOL you’re gay’ type insults in wrestling ever again. Calling the Death Riders ‘d-riders’? C’mon.

It was a very fitting tribute to Butcher, and given how cut up he was on Dynamite, I’m glad Excalibur had the night off. The Wight/Schiavone/McGuinness combo worked well together and actually made the show feel fun, balancing the emotion with celebration which felt appropriate. Butcher seemed like a joyful individual. 

Moxley/Bailey was tremendous, I enjoyed that as much as any match this year - they had great chemistry and in the moment I didn’t even consider the fact Mox is number one contender and fully expected them to go to the time limit. I’d love to see a rematch, that was great.

New Level were brilliant on commentary. They’ve been great since joining AEW, and their digs at The Young Bucks are particularly enjoyable, I can’t wait to see them eventually lock up. What a tremendous get for AEW.

It was nice to see Aminata get a win, and I hope they do something with her sooner rather than later. She’s the new Willow Nightingale for me in that she’s such an obvious star, yet AEW seemingly doesn’t want to do anything with her. Willow overcame that, I hope Aminata does too.

Seeing PAC upset over the death of Butcher was really jarring for me, in the sense that he’s so convincing as a cold, terrifying psychopath that I think I’d forgotten he’s an actual person. It’s a bit like Brian Cox/Logan Roy in Succession, I think I’d be scared to meet him in real life even though he’s probably a lovely person (side note: I actually did meet Brian Cox pre-Succession and he was, although at the time I had no idea who he was outside of him being an actor).

I liked how the tributes clearly came from people who were close to Butcher. Historically with WWE tribute shows, there’s a conscious effort to make sure tributes are shown from the biggest stars. I don’t mean this in a WWE vs AEW way - I’m sure it’s more about the sense of magnitude that brings to the viewer than it is about making these people look good - but here it was clearly people who knew Butcher well, meaning every comment made was personal and meaningful. 

AEW produced another excellent tribute show. As good as it was, here’s hoping it’s the last one for quite some time.

I’ve not watched a full episode of Collision for probably well over two years, but felt compelled to watch this one with it being a tribute episode.

The majority of the video tributes were lovely, but Kip Sabian doing that ‘holding a tiny microphone’ thing that influencers do can get in the bin.

I do hope that the $100,000 thing for the Battle Royale is legit, because that’s an amazing thing to do for charity in such tragic circumstances, and I’ve no doubt that TK is lucky enough to be in a position where he can just cut a cheque and not miss it. Im not saying they have to disclose who the money is going to whatever, but I just hope that it’s a legit thing

This proper set me off seeing Eddie in tears, you can feel how genuine he felt about Andy. Really just hit home that life is short, appreciate this life guys and just live it to the fullest x

I met Pac years ago as part of the press rounds for the WWE UK launch. Even as "Neville" he was a top bloke, especially when I mentioned DGUK ,to which he lit up. Seemed a very emotionally intelligent guy. I suspect given his character him and Butcher may well have been close, and it's great AEW have given the space for this sort of fitting tribute.

One of the best battle royals I can remember. Daniel Garcia is just such a great professional wrestler. Type of guy who just gets it and can get over in any situation. Good to see Eddie Kingston, hopefully he can get back on track because he's missed and would be a fine permanent addition to Collision every week. Chuck him in the Continental Classic this year! Worth also highlighting how bloody good Paul Wight was on commentary for this. He added so much to it. I hope he's a permanent fixture going forwards.

Paul Wight having the time of his life just pissing about with New Level was a joy to see, especially when he said he would never chop anyone in the back and Kofi furiously told him he had done that multiple times to him🤣🤣. Good to see the big man happy

I also think he's been a great addition to the announce desk. He showed a lot of promise on Elevation, and he's only upped his game since then. I don't have any major complaints about any of the announce team rotation though, they pretty much all add to the show in their own different ways.

Kota Ibushi is going under surgery on his femur yet again, this time to replace the plates with even stronger ones. Seems like he's fully on coming back to wrestle in AEW though, I know he resigned for another two years about a year ago so fingers crossed.

I just hope his body can handle it and he doesn't try anything daft, he's really good at just being a killer mat based wrestler so doesn't need to be the flippy guy.

Him and Kenny on a retirement tour as The Golden Lovers, both beaten and broken on that last run with the tag belts.

A bit of a nothing Dynamite, that one. Perfectly fine, but perfectly skippable as it didn't do much to progress anything. 

I've said it before, but I find it hard to take Nick Wayne seriously at the best of times, never mind when he's feuding over whether or not his necklace is in style. People on here called Adam Cole 'noodle arms' and I never felt that way about him. I do about Wayne. Adding to that, he has the face of a stoner character from a mid-2000s teen movie. That kind of worked when he was Christian Cage's 'son', but as a solo act he comes across as enhancement talent. His mic work has improved though, I'll give him that. 

I'm a little bit surprised that Thekla/Mercedes/Willow has turned into a one-on-one number one contenders' match, but I'm glad they're not wasting Willow's next World title shot. I hope whoever wins this match ends up main eventing Wrestledream. If it's a Mercedes/Willow rematch, that's blockbuster. Either way though, I don't think Mone should be dropping the belt. 

I'm really enjoying Andrade at the moment and he doesn't feel out of place in the main event at all. His first run in AEW was what it was, but he's returned with a real fire underneath him and it shows in everything he does. I'd be perfectly fine with him winning the World Title at some point, although I don't think he should be taking it from Ospreay any time soon. 

Good news for @LaGoosh, I'm souring on Gabe Kidd. Threatening to cut Will Ospreay up into bloody pieces so he's red 'like Santa' was one of the worst lines I've heard on Dynamite since Kidd said he didn't want to take Ospreay's career, he wanted to take 'his life'. I used to quite enjoy him being a pathetic wannabe hardman, but he just sounds like a moron these days. I think it's the way people don't react to him one way or the other. Moxley looks bemused, but he's not rolling his eyes or anything like that, and Ospreay isn't taking the piss out of these empty threats, he's just ignoring them. They clearly know it's stupid, but don't know how to treat them on screen. 

Ciampa/Okada is an unexpectedly fun combination. Okada is in the running for being the most entertaining character in wrestling, and Ciampa has been a revelation since jumping ship. Their interactions here were fun, even if the eventual outcome seems clear. 

As far as the trios division goes - goodness me, just get to Swerve and Hangman facing off mics in hand, please! 

All Out is shaping up to be a fun show, so although this was an uneventful Dynamite, it served its purpose.
