Fog Dude Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 The final scores were up in the opening post on Sunday night as per usual, with very little to figure out on the table after that. Stinky is top scorer, as the only participant into double figures and also the only one to nab both kinds of bonus point. MVP RULZ was denied a correct D2D bet by a Roma equaliser, but he's been back in decent form lately avoids the usual trope of being worst performer since he was actually second best this time out, and indeed level with Stinky for "ordinary" points. Everybody except Vegeta claimed bonuses of some sort, yet he still maintains the single-point gap over TildeGuy. The randomly selected "wildcard" fixture was match #3 at Eastlands, where all except myself rightly went for a home win, but just three players nabbed a pair of bonus points apiece for picking the exact scoreline of 2-0. Chutney Spoon was the lowest scorer but avoids slipping back into last place, again by a solitary point. Elsewhere, it was slim pickings really to be honest, with only the continued collapse of Palace's season combined with a new manager/head coach bounce for Chelsea generally proving fruitful across the board. No real pattern beyond that, although a late defeat to end Liverpool's unbeaten run, alongside home reverses for Arsenal, Brentford and Newcastle all turned out especially difficult to foresee. I went for 3-2 at the Emirates... but in the opposite direction. In other matches, a lot of people were denied an extra point or two by an injury-time goal. Another D2D coming up, as we get one of the more straightforward (yet intriguing) second turns out of the way. That's coming up in the middle of this weekend's card, which should be appearing in the first post very soon. Quote

Fog Dude Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 The results went into the initial post on Sunday night, and... aargh, it's only early February and it feels like it could be over already despite no movement in the table! Without bonuses, Chutney Spoon would've been top scorer so he goes eleven points clear of me, this round's worst performer, at the foot of the standings. At the other end, Vegeta got his D2D bet from Molineux right and most people incorrectly disagreed with him, so he's now in the lead by a whopping 19 points. The only saving grace is that seven players have still got their second D2D turn to come. The other bonuses came at Spurs, since match #6 was the randomly selected "wildcard" fixture and only Rory plus the aforementioned Chutney Spoon got that spot on, with everybody else opting for an away win (which to be fair, on the basis of the first half, looked like a solid guess). Elsewhere, two wins for Arsenal - though the men's victory was surprisingly much more comfortable than the women's - alongside clear home success for Liverpool and PSV and a score draw at The AmEx generally proved fruitful. So much for the favourites not taking the FA Trophy seriously: all got through by a goal or two in our featured games, and indeed all eight ties saw the visitors progress if you include the two teams who squeezed through on penalties. Those outcomes were also mostly good for one-pointers, at least. Just a normal week next time out, with two big continental derbies included among the set of 10.
