With Fernandes it might be a case of wait and see. He was one of the few bright lights during Southampton's relegation from the PL but £85m is a big price tag. As Bacon says, if they have that to spend, I guess it doesn't really matter too much. Be interested to see what Robertson has left, he looked a shadow of his former self this World Cup. Quote

So it's good business and the right move for him and for us. He lives up to his hype, we have the right to match any bid to bring him back, or he gets sold to a huge club and we get 20%. You can't keep everyone and Spurs have been very bad at hoarding players until their value decreases. 50m on the table for someone who's never played a competitive game for us? Come on. Quote
Mr_Danger Posted July 1 Posted July 1 The overpaying is a pretty sound strategy tbf. It’s the only way they are gonna beat these clubs to top players and in the long run it’s better to over pay and get good players than dick about buying 3 or 4 players hoping they might get to that level. Quote
