Paid Members John Matrix Posted August 5 Paid Members Posted August 5 I’ve no particular post to point towards, and I’ve almost certainly missed him being discussed on here at some point during my hiatus, but - and this is more of a confession than a contribution to the thread - I am completely and totally addicted to DannyBoy83 videos, in a way that is impossible to justify or articulate. Despite being, CLEARLY, one of the most deplorable human beings on earth, I find him mesmerising to watch to as he fumbles his words and uploads twelve videos a day talking about the exact same thing bouncing from Morrisons Cafe to the bookies, to Coca-Cabana - all filmed from the same angle, his two star hotels indistinguishable from one another as the carpet takes a pounding to the dulcet tones of 2Pac or the Scarface soundtrack as he calls out an array of South London hardmen. I could talk for hours about a man who, on the surface of things, appears to do absolutely nothing at all and yet travels the world ironing out brasses and hoovering up flake like there’s no tomorrow - and let me be clear, I don’t condone it, I don’t tolerate it and if he were a person I knew in real life, I’d DESPISE the bloke…and yet… I reckon there’s more clips of DannyBoy83 videos on my camera roll the last 18 months than there is photos of my kids - it’s group chat GOLD! And don’t get me started on the supporting cast. So yeah, judge me all you like - because given he’s just landed back in Brazil, I’m unlikely to be able to peel myself away from Instagram for long enough to read any of your comments anyway. My partners job is quite a busy and stressful one so I think her obsession with internet characters is her mindless release, so I've been exposed to this fella. There's absolutely tons of others I'm vaguely aware of, one called Elphabra that sticks in my mind because they had scabies and this fella who is obsessed with babestation and makes constant videos about who was on it etc. Until this year, I was blissfully unaware of Chris Chan until I watched a three hour video about them. This is exactly it though. I cannot STAND internet “characters” because for the most part, that term implies they are putting on some sort of persona or dialling it up to eleven - love him or hate him, he’s the realest man alive - whilst I don’t believe a word he says, HE is totally believable in the way I feel I’m watching HIM and not a performance. The video in the park is a classic example, because from memory he’s strolling round on a bright sunny day before dropping the “me mate ‘ung is self here” line - I’m almost certain he said his dog was buried there too before moving seamlessly on to talking about going for his dinner. Fucking FASCINATING bloke. Please tell me you saw the video prior to him getting chased through the streets? In which he’s sitting on the bed of a destroyed brothel cubicle as the proprietor holds him up for cash to pay for the damage whilst a Thai prostitute guards the door holding a twelve in blade - filming them both before uttering the immortal “say ello bebe” - genuinely the maddest thing I’ve ever seen and just one of many times I’ve gone to bed at night thinking it’s the last of his videos I’ll ever watch. And I’ve been that fucked like he was where I’m struggling to talk. Got flashbacks to nights out. But never with a smashed up hotel room and being held hostage. Also, the Sonny Green episode from a couple of weeks back where Jacob began talking about his row with Jeremy Vine regarding the kid who got thrown in to the crocodile enclosure had me crying. Quote
