Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted October 16, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 16, 2025 18yo got his first tattoo a few weeks ago. He comes through the front door and says "Dad I've got something to show you" and I assumed he'd shaved all his hair off or just got a small tattoo for starters. But no, massive great back piece. Kids. Quote

Paid Members BomberPat Posted October 16, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 16, 2025 (edited) realising I never posted this one: It's small, and a bit of an in-joke, but one that means a lot to me. It's the Egyptian hieroglyph Two Reeds, and a bit of a reference to Only Connect. But also, my surname is Reed, and I'm a twin, so it's a nod to my brother - a few times when we've hung out, he's posted photos and tagged them as "Two Reeds". It's a stick and poke tattoo, which my previous ones weren't, and for a little simple design like this I much preferred it. It was quick, and barely felt it getting done. I have a bunch more I want to get soon, but I need to find the time, the money, and the right artist for the next couple of ideas, as they're a lot bigger than the existing ones. Maybe that's the next commitment once I'm done moving house. Edited October 16, 2025 by BomberPat Quote

Paid Members Chris B Posted March 9 Paid Members Posted March 9 One of the businesses impacted in the Glasgow Central Fire yesterday was Union Street Tattoos, run by Fidjit - I don't know her, but I started following her when she spoke out about abusers and rapists in the tattooing industry in the UK (and yes, you can probably guess exactly who it was that she was talking about that led me to start following her a few years ago). She's been doing amazing work, including annual flash sales for Rape Crisis Scotland and End Not Proven. You may have seen her Drowning Girl Club tattoo designs, which have very much become a thing amongst abuse survivors. https://gofund.me/385fe7e3e Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted March 9 Paid Members Posted March 9 Mine's nothing too special, but means a lot to me. Alexithymia is one of my Autistic traits, meaning I don't always recognise or properly articulate things I'm feeling. When I was with my ex I would refer to myself as a robot a lot because of my seeming lack of emotions. When I moved out and was going through some counselling I had to idea to get this tattoo as a reminder that it's alright to feel things, but also because I love Daft Punk. When I next know I can afford it I've picked a font out that's not dissimilar from some of the stuff Justice use in their materials and I'm going to get Audio Video Disco (I hear, I see, I learn) down the other arm. Trying to work out what I'd get for Soulwax, but I may just get a little logo of theirs somewhere. The other thing I'm thinking of getting is an elephant, a frog, and a penguin stood in a little pyramid or something to symbolise my mum, my gran, and me. Quote
Paid Members mim731 Posted June 6 Paid Members Posted June 6 Pint or a soft drink to the first person, if anyone, who gets this incredibly niche reference now expressed as a tattoo that I will surely regret eventually. Quote
