I'll see if I can get photos of mine over at some point. I think I've technically got 9 separate pieces although 7 of them were done in one sitting and 8 of them run down the same arm.

Shame Mrs raid isnt keen on tattoos, or the expense - my original plan was for that arm to become a full sleeve as soon as I could provide my artist decent source material for her to sketch the surface of Cybertron.

Anyway, blah blah. It is a superb tattoo, and I wish I had thought of it. Nice one.

Cheers. I wish I'd thought of it, I found it while image searching for Greek imagery for a tat!

It is a really nice design. I bought a bottle of Metaxa brandy when I was in Rhodes last year, and it had a beautiful design on the box.

I spent ages dithering about a tattoo to get or not get, then I saw someone on a discord's shit Man United tattoo and thought "well it won't be that bad."

It's a duck, because my wife, when we first started dating, nicknamed me 'Ducky *my name*'. It's therefore a subtle tattoo referring to our relationship without it being her name or something else like that.

I am really tempted to get a series of small cartoon related tattoos - King from Owl House, B-MO or Gunter from Adventure Time - but I specifically want it as black line drawings without the colour, and it seems like a lot of faff to get a design I like.

I also want a Milpool tattoo on my leg. Might do that one next.

Ah I am so bad at being able to upload photos but I do like chatting tattoos.

Buddha head on my upper arm, Kitsune and Water Skull wrapped around my lower arm. A Jack Sparrow tattoo on my lower right inner arm and below that an anchor and outline of africa. I also have a Unalome on my right forearm near my wrist. On my inner bicep I have a sketch of Bilbo walking to the lonely mountain that is the art on one of the Hobbit books.

left arm I have a compass and rope on my inner forearm, a ship in a bottle on my outer forearm i have a traditional style family portrait on my bicep, above that is a sketch of Mother Earth. On my tricep i have all 8 Kanto badges in greyscale.

my left pec has a black dog to symbolise my depression and how I decided it would always be with me but I wanted to make it part of me physically and that I control where it goes.

i’ll add photos eventually I’m sure.

I just upload them to imgur.com, right click and hit 'Copy link address'

If you paste that link into a post it should convert it to the photo

Hope this works. If not, then I'll post the links to my Instagram.

My first one was the Paramore three bars logo with A L above it. It's their album After Laughter and the initials of my oldest friend, who passed away in 2018.

My second tattoo is one I designed with my friend. It's a song by one of my all time favourite bands, The Replacements. It represents my political leanings too.

It did not work, despite my hope.

Embedding for the people who hate clicking (you need the image address, the url starts with i.imgur instead of just imgur)

That last one reminds me of a guy I follow on Insta called ta2pawel - he specialises in "trash polka", i.e. that black with red elements style.

Had a quick look, I like his stuff plus the overall "trash polka" theme. I probably wouldn't have got my most recent one if it didn't have the splash of red in it, as I wanted a litte bit of colour. Don't pay that much attention to tattooing styles as I prefer to get designs done that are important to me, although I wouldn't say no to anything Eliot Kohek wanted to do for me, if it didn't involve having to travel to France or paying through the nose for something at an expo. His stuff is simply astonishing...

this is my first tattoo done nearly 5 years ago.

I had a list of things to tick off before I was 40 and this was one of them.

Love the sticker effect, love the logo as this was where my love of the wrestling was at its peak.

so spent a very pleasant evening in Tokyo Tattoo Birmingham getting this done much to the surprise of everyone I know; it was so out of character.

Just got my first tattoo done!

Wanted a nice, subtle nod to the whole Matrix/Alice in Wonderland/Jefferson Airplane shtick that I've evidently not grown out of. The lower arm's likely going to some interpretation of Strawberry Fields Forever to round it out.

Delighted with it, and more than that it was a fantastic experience to just finally get one done. As someone who almost hit the deck when getting their covid jabs and to whom new sensations and experiences provoke quite a strong flight/fright/freeze response (adult assessments pending, yargh!) it was cool to commit to it and see it through in a sitting.

Pain's not a problem, more not having a lived-in prior experience for what's about to happen so I went full Casper the ghost for the first minute or so but other than that it was a piece of cake!

44 here and toying with the idea of getting a tattoo for the first time.

i always said i would like to get something that holds personal significance …..so.

What i am thinking is getting my 2 year old’s handprint in a circle on the outside of my left calf, with her name and date of birth on it…

I’m about 45% committed to the idea but haven’t seen a design that makes me go “Yep thats it” which makes me think I probably shouldn’t go ahead and get one .

Best advice I ever had was to wait about ten months. If, by the end of that period, you still want it, then it's probably a good bet you won't regret it.
