Thought this thread would be the best place;

I've decided to treat myself and upgrade to a half-decent phone, after years of owing awful budget phones. It arrived yesterday, came with the charging cable as standard, but as I'm a luddite I don't have a USB-C plug. If I'm paying through the nose for a brand new top of the range phone it wouldn't hurt them too much to throw a plug in!

I did mention this to a mate this morning and he said Carphone Warehouse probably didn't realise they were dealing with a fuckwit who doesn't own a USB-C plug, so apologies if I'm very 'old man shouts at cloud' here. I just think sending a phone then not sending all the required parts needed to charge it is a bit rum ?

I nearly lost my mind when I finally upgraded to a "modern" mobile, that I had to pay extra for a case/cover/screen protector/whatever. Couldn't understand that phone screens couldn't be trusted to survive the odd drop. It didn't feel like progress.

Honestly it's best just to get an actual decent USB plug than what would likely be the cheapest crap thrown in like they used to do, something like an Anker branded one will do the job well.

Dental treatment? Why is it so expensive? I think people are put off going due to paying. Dental hygienist is £75 at my dentist as NHS doesn't cover it.

Yeah I need some work done for the past year but struggling to afford it. I have no idea why the dentists is not completely covered by the NHS? Teeth are part of the body and every other part of the body is covered by the NHS - why the fuck aren't my teeth?

It's subsidised by the NHS but isn't free like lots of other NHS treatments. I have an eye condition, I have to get specialist contact lenses from the hospital to be able to see properly but I have to pay a charge of £60 for each eye for them. I think things like hearing aids are similar and you have to pay a fee for the pleasure of being able to hear.
