When he made his first AEW appearance WWE offered him a talent contract (presumably NXT not main roster) but he again turned them down because he thought AEW was a better fit for him. Quote
Paid Members Kamran Posted October 7, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 7, 2025 (edited) Dynamite will air on Tuesday this week (due to baseball) and it's back at Daily's Place! It will be going head-to-head with NXT ShoWdown and will be a 2-and-a-half-hour special: Edited October 7, 2025 by Kamran Quote
Paid Members mim731 Posted October 7, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 7, 2025 While there's not tonnes that is really grabbing me from that preview (it'll inevitably be a good show, as per, but just in terms of things that pique my interest beforehand), that Double Jeopardy Eliminator has the potential to have some very fun wrinkles on the whole DCF dynamic/eventual Takeshita babyface turn, which could be fun. Paid Members tiger_rick Posted October 7, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 7, 2025 Absolute banger of a card. Love that it's in a place where it's all announced up front, fees like a PPV every week at this point. I'd love to see some more themed shows like the days of the height of the promotion. Pac v OC should be great but I don't want either guy to lose. KOR can piss off. The Callis Family will turn babyface if they rid AEW of him and Roddy. Quote
The King Of Swing Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 I like that they held off on Jurassic Express's in ring return, until they were back in Daily's Place. So who is doing the Mone job? Is Shida still in Japan? Quote

I have seen a couple of names suggested including Spoiler Shayna Baszler (stretching it a bit as just apparently currently living in Florida) as well as Izzy (Bayley superfan from NXT). Also saw Bandido got hurt at the weekend (dislocated shoulder?) but seemingly is still going to be wrestling tonight. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted October 7, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 7, 2025 I’ve no idea if she can work, and I’m sure there was something weird about her being training at a ridiculously young age, but it is ten years to the day since Sasha stole Izzy’s hair band in NXT, making her cry. And now she’s throwing out Open Challenges for Floridians? Long term storytelling, innit? Quote
The King Of Swing Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 Ten years? I fucking hate time. Quote

Paid Members JLM Posted October 7, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 7, 2025 Spoiler Izzy challenges, Mercedes beats her down and goes too far after the match, Dakota Kai saves Izzy? Quote
Chili Posted October 8, 2025 Posted October 8, 2025 (edited) Fair play to PAC. Always innovative. Imagine seeing Juice Robinson's comeback look and going 'I can do the same and worse.' Edited October 8, 2025 by Chili Quote
Glenryck Pilchards Posted October 8, 2025 Posted October 8, 2025 It looks like PAC has gone to the same Eastern European barber on Shields Road which Peter Beardsley goes to. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted October 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 8, 2025 Pac and Juice Robinson eventually creating an off-shoot faction, where they dress like fake Hasbro action figures from Poundland. Quote
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted October 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 8, 2025 Some great work on the show and some of their flaws laid bare. I did really enjoy it again though. Keep your pointing at stuff, this is how you make a match feel big time. Two great promos. Joe's hair live vs. the graphic is a sad sight though! Good street fight. Ricochet getting suplexed through the table was the spot of year. They really didn't let the aftermath breathe though. Off to something else before Bobby had put his jacket on. Poor that. Takeshita's work was awesome on the show. Just great selling of his unhappiness at the situation. They made me care about Okada, that's impressive. Loved the main event. Despite Pac's interesting look, their work was great. Stunned OC won but the immediate aftermath took away from it. Darby's stuff was ridiculous again. Starting to wish he'd fuck off back up a mountain. Quote
Paid Members RedTwoster Posted October 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 8, 2025 I like PAC’s new look! It makes him look even more thuggish, which is what you want from a character like that. The Darby stuff was really stupid though. He really needs to tone things down, it’s just too ridiculous. Hangman/Joe was good, and I hope this isn’t a one-and-done, given how soon the PPV is. It feels like there’s a deep story there that both wrestlers can sink their teeth into and I hope they get the chance and time to do that. The Conglomeration can fuck off. I think I mate hate all of them, apart from Ishii and OC. How can there be enough room for Kyle O’Reilly’s anti-comedy on Dunamite, but not in-person appearances from the Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander, Toni Storm or Eddie Kingston? The Mercedes Mone open challenge seemed to be taking the Cody approach, with a strong video package hyping the challenger much as what happened with Ricky Starks when he debuted. Lane had a great look and while she seemed a little green in ring, there’s definitely potential there. I hope Mone continues with these, if anyone can make the Open Challenge gimmick fun, it’s her - she’s definitely women’s wrestler of the year for me. I’d been hoping for Takeshita/Okada at Wrestledream, but on reflection, it would have been too soon. Their story is chugging along nicely, and I’m looking forward to the Wrestledream match and the inevitable fight between the two in the future. Stokely should drop the ‘hoes’ stuff now. It was funny at first, but it’s getting old and has become the wrestling equivalent of catchphrase comedy. Quote
