The King Of Swing Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 Decent show. I actually like the venue but the crowd can get fucked after the WHAT chants during a Toni Storm promo. Never go back. Bunch of cunts. They better not put the woman's tag titles on Mone. Statlander has recovered tremendously from her past hit and miss booking. Not putting her in the Death Riders, was the right call. Agree that Statlander Vs. Storm should main event. The DC Family definitely needs to start winding down sooner rather than later. I know I'm gonna get it for this but fuck it. Harley is really getting annoying, even the return of Puppet Mone, didn't make me smile. Quote

Paid Members RedTwoster Posted October 5, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 5, 2025 That was a very weak Collision, to the point Rocky Romero was in the main event. The card consisted entirely of predictable matches, and I hate when they do shows like that. Having said that, there was good on there. Anna Jay and Nick Wayne have improved significantly on the mic, although I’m still not convinced that Wayne has any sort of future. He’d probably be a good manager, though. Anna Jay, on the other hand, might have a decent future ahead of her. Thekla is solid on the mic, but Skye Blue and Julia Hart are utter charisma vacuums. They’re so uncharismatic that they can’t even deliver a convincing monotone, it’s pretty remarkable. Bowens/Caster continues to be fun, but I’d like to see them remain singles stars as they’ve both found their groove now. Daniel Garcia’s promo, once again, was great. He’s one of the most believable wrestlers in AEW right now. He feels like a real fighter, and I want to see him get a megapush. You could absolutely use him as a main event wrestler, he’s such an interesting, multi-layered character. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted October 5, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted October 5, 2025 (edited) Yeah that was mostly a nothing show. Decent action but no reason to care for the most part. Saying that, the following is worth your time: - a good opening six man with a fantastic Daniel Garcia promo afterwards torching his past friends and heading off with his new gang of utter scumbags. - Bowens turning up with loads of plaques of his own to overshadow Caster is incredibly funny. These two are so great together right now. - top notch low key horny promo segment with Toni and Statlander. "There's no one I'd rather lose to but there's no one more I need to beat" was a cracking line from Storm. Agree with @RedTwoster on the Triangle of Madness. Thekla is good (even though her promos are bad) but Hart and Blue are just there and are often incredibly cringe. Zero presence. I hate the gimmick. Edited October 5, 2025 by LaGoosh Quote

I think Thekla’s delivery is solid, but you’re right, there’s no substance there. She could do with a manager - perhaps some who could help her add a little depth to her mic performances. 42 minutes ago, LaGoosh said: top notch low key horny promo segment with Toni and Statlander. It’s hard to do an in ring face-off that feels unlike anything that has ever been done before, but they managed that. I really hope they main event Wrestledream, but I have a feeling that they’ll close with Mox/Darby. Quote

Chili Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 Gonna post this week's Hey! (Ew) in the main as it continues a storyline slightly as Bowens and Caster are the guests. Quote
The King Of Swing Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 Even I struggled with Collision this week. But there was some decent stuff in there. Dalton and The Outrunners are a fun little act. I'm enjoying the Daniel Garcia and Daddy Magic stuff. MxM Casting Call was a massive letdown. Also really weird booking them against other heels. Max and Anthony have been a good laugh. Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted October 5, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 5, 2025 (edited) Purely belter. Rematch of what is still probably my favourite AEW match ever, at Revolution 2020. Orange Cassidy corpsing as he’s rolling around the ring, whilst Pac gets angrier and angrier, ranks up there with Hogan slamming Andre and Stone Cold shoving Mike Tyson. Treat yourself. Garauntee you’ll be smiling ear to ear. Half the joy is hearing Jim Ross being unable to stay grumpy, laughing his arse off and having the time of his life. Pure pro-wrestling joy. Five stars. Masterpiece. AEW had arrived. Orange Cassidy was the most exciting, refreshing talent in the business. Nothing could halt their momentum. Except maybe the entire planet shutting down days afterwards. EDIT: I’ve just watched it again! Orange Cassidy fucking rules. Alongside Eddie Kingston, I’d love to see him one day be World Champion. Hangman, Kingston and Cassidy. Those are your pillars. Imagine AEW never exists and those three greats never make it to national TV. Terrifying thought. Edited October 5, 2025 by Supremo Quote

Was he?! I remember Harley Cameron, QT and Will Hobbs in those skits but not him at all. It’s amazing how forgettable he clearly was. 19 hours ago, Supremo said: EDIT: I’ve just watched it again! I think Hangman would have ended up in WWE, but goodness knows where he’d have ended up on the card. As far as Kingston and Cassidy go, it’s the toss of a coin really. Kingston, if he did go there, would have had a good chance at succeeding based on his promo ability alone. Cassidy would have been a comedy jobber, and likely one who would have disappeared from the card once they had their chuckles with him. I also wonder what Cassidy and Kingston-equivalents we missed out on over the years through not having an AEW-type major company. Edited October 6, 2025 by RedTwoster Quote

To his credit though, his feud with Dalton Castle (sadly in ROH) was the best work of his career. Quote
