Hopefully they've got him on a short term deal though just in case. I've had enough of mopey ex-WWE guys hanging around for years on end. Tony Khan has always been very complimentary of him, so perhaps his departure was always about being in the same company as Charlotte, so they could see more of one another. Obviously that’s no longer a factor, but if I was Khan, I could absolutely understand why someone would want to do that. With that in mind, maybe there’s no fear of mopey behaviour. Certainly, he never seemed to be unwilling to lose during his last spell with the company. 1 hour ago, LaGoosh said: Fucking hell who isn't in the Don Callis Family these days?! I had a thought that maybe they're building up to a Don Callis Family vs The Conglomeration Blood & Guts and doing a double Blood & Guts in November. I’d not considered that, but it at least seems possible. There has to be some kind of logic behind making his stable this enormous. Quote

That made Andrade’s return a welcome surprise Absolutely what happened to me. I was crestfallen thinking it was you-know-who so I was pleasantly surprised to see Andrade. That will wear off though. Very enjoyable show. Albeit, the brilliant video package apart, not one that felt befitting of the anniversary. Thought they'd need to FF someone to face Hanger and Joe was one I suggested. Not a PPV World Title match really but, I don't know that there's a better one. That shot of the Callis family was insane. Fucking hundreds of them. Hopefully setting up for Takeshita to run through them. Pull the trigger. 3 hours ago, Supremo said: Good show. Big angles. Big developments. High energy. Only real negative was the building. That’s the first smaller venue they’ve used where it looked a bit crap. Considering how well they made the ECW Arena look, from the hard camera this truly felt like it was being recorded in a crappy University lecture theatre. A weird thing happened to me. I clicked on the show on Triller and it started up and I heard Jim Ross's voice. Then they announced a tag team battle royal. Then they announced it was for the number 1 contender spot - at Revolution. And I realised something had gone wrong with the app, it was playing the Feb 20th 2020 show for some reason. So I had to jump from this: . ...to this week's show and that array of light and colour made this week's even more depressing. Quote

I'm leaning towards it being with Mercedes but unless she's just teasing the internet and taking a much deserved break I guess they'd start working towards a program there for Wrestledream. She worked the ROH taping last night so I expect Wrestledream is next. Enjoyable show that looked like dog shit. Absolutely the worst venue they have used. Hard can was the worst side to show. I thought the Death Riders entrance should have been the main entrance, a MSG type affair. Jurys out on Andrade. Cool return, hopefully his heart is in this run. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted October 2, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 2, 2025 Yeah I think it was the lighting more than anything else. We’ve been spoilt with the gorgeous ballrooms, so the issue isn’t small venues. Pitch black darkness and horrible yellow walls was a terrible look. Quote

Maybe Takeshita then joins forces with him and they form The World's Most Beautiful Men tag team and fight off Don Callis's gang together. Quote
Paid Members 2Xtreme_lives Posted October 2, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 2, 2025 Who's jump between companies more between Gallows and Anderson and Andrade at this point it cant be fair between them ? Good to see Andrade though I enjoyed his AEW when he was there so let's see how it goes Quote

Paid Members BomberPat Posted October 2, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 2, 2025 if Andrade has his working boots on, I'm not against having him back in the mix, and he looked fantastic, I just don't think it's the right use for him - if it weren't for the fact that Sammy Guevara's in there, I'd say stick him with LFI. Lord knows the Don Callis Family doesn't need any more members, nor does Andrade really need Callis to heat him up (though he does benefit from having a manager, but I'd have found someone else for him), and Kenny Omega is already embroiled in a feud with that faction as it is, so why not have his PPV feud be against the guy who actually took him out with an apron brainbuster through a table, not someone else coming in? Hell, they called Kenny Omega the only Grand Slam Champion in AEW, and I kind of dislike that, because to me the Grand Slam shouldn't just be any four titles, it should be that he's held every title he's eligible to hold - and he was never TNT Champion. There's an additional angle to a feud with Kyle Fletcher there, that as well as the Don Callis feud, Kenny wanting revenge, and Fletcher wanting to put Omega on the shelf, Kyle has the one title that Kenny has never held. That's a more interesting story to me than crowbarring in Andrade. The angle was odd too - Jurassic Express wouldn't have had to have made the save if Brodido hadn't just obliviously wandered off and left their tag partner alone in the ring with three heels. And then Jurassic Express left, so Kenny could get sneak attacked again, only this time nobody bothered saving him. And, in kayfabe, Jurassic Express were already advertised as appearing on this show - what would that appearance have been if they hadn't decided to save Kenny? I at least liked that Omega remembers that Jack Perry tried to murder him, and hasn't forgiven him just because he's a babyface now. Joe vs. Hangman isn't the direction I'd have gone in, not least of all because that's two defences in a row where it's Hangman vs. someone with another title, but Joe showed in his backstage promo and in the post-match exactly why he's the guy to give that match to when options are limited - he can just give this story credibility immediately. I thought the Hologram Clone stuff was ridiculous. "Hologram" did a run-in and attacked Orange Cassidy, then joined the Don Callis Family, and it didn't once occur to anyone on the commentary team that it might just be a different bloke under the mask, and that the guy who was just taken out with a serious knee injury probably isn't jumping up on the ring apron to get involved in a match. Then the moment he unmasked to reveal a different mask, Excalibur goes, "oh, this must be the clone of Hologram we've been hearing about". So you'd already been hearing that this guy had a clone, and it still took you this long to figure out what's going on? I'm guessing the original plan would have simply been El Clon debuting and costing Hologram the match. It's very weird that instead they had him pretend to be Hologram, had everyone else act as if it was Hologram, and then just drop that immediately after the match, rather than spending a few weeks doing the cartoon storyline of making everyone think the original Hologram is somehow not injured and also a baddy now. Depending on how long Hologram is on the shelf, I'm cautiously optimistic that it means they'll move away from some of the sillier aspects of the Clone gimmick and just let Arez be a great luchadore in his own right, because he could easily eclipse Hologram as a wrestler, but the gimmick has a very obvious ceiling on it. Ro_y Disco Posted October 2, 2025 Posted October 2, 2025 The Young Bucks' jobber intro was incredibly funny and clever. I've loved every beat of their story post losing their EVP titles. Count me in the 'thinking it was Jericho and being incredibly relieved' camp. Genuinely surprising debut. Although I find Andrade exceptionally dull and too tainted by the WWE style to be someone I want to see wrestle again. Disappointed at first by the Samoa Joe as challenger reveal. Both guys sold it so well though and Joe is always awesome that I think it will work. I had to rewind to check, but was Joe yelling into the camera "I'll fuck your ass" or did it just not catch what he was saying properly? Quote
Paid Members ReturnOfTheMack Posted October 2, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 2, 2025 I loved Stats new gear. On the flip side, Shafirs tattoos are proper crap. Quote
digforvictory Posted October 2, 2025 Posted October 2, 2025 It's a shame the arena looked a bit shit because I think they had way over 3,500 fans in there which is pretty decent by Dynamite standards. I really enjoyed the show, I do agree with the idea they're just missing a big overarching story at the minute but each individual show has been good and this was no different. Samoa Joe is a fairly weak World title challenger but it's still Joe and I'm sure we'll get some great promos from him and Hangman and the match will be good. Bucks not joining in on the post match attack with Kenny, maybe the first sign of an eventual babyface turn? I thought Kenny looked great in that tag match by the way. I like the idea of Statlander and Storm being the main event at the PPV, it's long overdue for Toni Storm to headline a PPV. Andrade isn't one of my favourites but I always thought he was much better suited for AEW than WWE so he'll probably do well for the next 18 months before kicking off and going back to WWE. You have to respect a guy that goes back and forth to each company, i've always liked that. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted October 2, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 2, 2025 Off the back of Andrade Quantum Leaping back and forth between promotions, who jumped the most between WWF and WCW back in the day? Or between WWF, WCW and ECW? Or even between WWE and TNA? Is someone like Sid the record holder? Quote
