Northern League Division One West Allotment Celtic w/ultimo the great 1 v 1 Kendal Town Serie A Lazio 3 v 3 Napoli (17:00) IN PLAY! Sorry, I checked five minutes after you posted and Kendal had already won 6-1, whilst a pick for a game that's already started is also null and void as I'm sure you know. So you wouldn't have got a point for the former match, but the late guess did deny ultimo two further bonus points. East Palmersville Sports Pavilion has been about as much of a fortress as Old Trafford this season, so to be fair it would've been difficult to find a fixture where he'd actually want to bet on a home win. Despite that, you salvaged avoiding the six-way joint wooden spoon with a rare exact scoreline, whereas ultimo just about takes the lead over TildeGuy anyway. In a low-scoring round, Stinky makes the only significant move up the table (and would've been best performer disregarding bonuses) but special mention to MVP RULZ for nabbing the only other three-pointer. The randomly selected "wildcard" game was #2 at Craven Cottage where nobody foresaw a home victory. I'm doing this on a spare laptop (old one conked out at the weekend, so suddenly had to remember by Imgur login just now) and about to head out to a pub quiz. Since it was such a dud of a week it's probably not worth highlighting the other eight outcomes. There's just time to say the next round-up will appear on Tuesday as I'm jetting off the following afternoon to observe the aftermath of the German general election. The results are in the opening post and this weekend's card should be up there in a mo, including yet another consecutive D2D. Quote

Fog Dude Posted February 25, 2025 Author Posted February 25, 2025 As promised, the final scores went into the original post tonight and the next fixtures will go live there just after this is published. The table has hastily been updated so hopefully it's accurate. Recent form and the change at the top last week feel like a bit of a false dawn already. Slightly higher scoring than last time, but still on the low side, especially in terms of three-pointers. It would've been tough to find a match that ultimo's second D2D pick might actually win, and conversely it was more difficult than I thought to choose a game TildeGuy's selection might lose. Thought it'd at least be close but to no avail as Barnet swept aside the hosts at Spotland. Both got their bets right, of course, but the difference was far more people were willing to disagree with Tilde. Lots of movement elsewhere too, with Bent Wookie sinking by skipping a round again and champion Rory now cast further adrift, while Chutney Spoon among those who takes advantage and would've been best performer without the bonus points though still short of double figures. For the second weekend in row, the "wildcard" game was match #2, was at Craven Cottage and resulted in a dud outcome, so no further bonuses again this time out. Since that doesn't sound very random, in the interests of transparency, I'll reveal that the actual randomisation took place on a different machine from before due to the laptop issue I already mentioned six days ago. Away sides scoring four goals apiece was the order of the day but nobody could quite bring themselves to guess that beforehand. Victories for Tottenham, Brighton, Villa, Liverpool and the Dutch women - all but one of those on the road - were generally good for at least one-pointers, but a home reverse for The Cherries, a score draw at The Racecourse and a comfortable stroll for the Canadian side of the Cascadia derby all proved harder to foresee.
