Anyway, here are my guesses: A month or so before I'd have been having them on for a 4 or 5 nil win, but the last few games they've really dropped off the pace and Welling have a lot more to fight for at the moment. Watch them go and put 6 past them now. Quote

It's been a few years since I last saw W-s-M, between the easing of Covid restrictions and definitively moving to North Wales - they were actually my D2D choice one season back when Seph was still running things. Anyway, sounds like you wouldn't have been able to tell today which team was just above the relegation zone and which was on the edge of the play-off places! Might as well go and add the bonus points now *sigh* Full update during the week as ever. Edited January 25, 2025 by Fog Dude Quote
Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted January 25, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 25, 2025 Honestly before Christmas they were incredible, they even did Welling 3-1 away but by all sounds they've nothing up top at the moment and it's really starting to show. 20 minutes ago, Fog Dude said: It's been a few years since I last saw W-s-M, between the easing of Covid restriction and definitely moving to North Wales - they were actually my D2D choice one season back when Seph was still running things. Fog Dude Posted January 29, 2025 Author Posted January 29, 2025 The final scores went into the first post on Sunday night, and the latest table has since been worked out too. It was a fairly high-scoring round, with results easy to come by despite exact scoreline guesses being few and far between. Chutney Spoon, despite remaining in last place, managed one of them and remains level with Rory. The gap of half a dozen points between Tilde and ultimo at the top stays the same as before as they were joint worst performers alongside me. They did at least get a bonus point each from the randomly selected "wildcard" fixture, match #5 at Molineux. I was the only participant to opt for a draw there instead of the correct pick of an away win. As discussed extensively above, Bent Wookie got his D2D bet right as Weston and Welling went with the recent form book but very much against their respective positions in the standings. A majority of other players wrongly disagreed to gift him a very welcome ten bonuses, taking him clear of the bottom five. Without the D2D, MVP RULZ would've been highest scorer and the only person into double figures this time out. He's now breathing down the necks of the leading duo and was only denied a further two points by The Tractor Boys' last-minute consolation at Anfield. Elsewhere, victories for Newcastle, Bayern and both Manchester behemoths generally proved good for one-pointers, as did a score draw in Saxony. On the other hand, triumphs for David Moyes and AFC Bournemouth – especially the scale of the latter – caught quite a few pickers out. Another D2D next, plus trips to two different parts of the continental mainland and a couple of makegood knockout ties. That'll all be up in the initial post soonish. Quote
