Relatively normal service was resumed as the final scores were put in the initial post on Sunday evening, with the table not taking too long after that. I got my D2D bet wrong as Depor never led against Gijón, so was perhaps lucky just to be joint (as opposed to outright) worst performer alongside Chutney Spoon and still-bottom Vegeta on a mere two points apiece in a low-scoring round. The latter is now chasing Gooner in second-to-last place since he again skipped a week.

Five of the other eight participants correctly bet against me to each claim their bonuses, and all are now in the top half of the standings. The gap remains the same at the summit since Tilde and ultimo both scored nine. Bent Wookie moves up into third spot since he at least got the right result from the randomly selected 'wildcard' fixture, which turned out to be match #6 from The Etihad. 

Elsewhere, wins for Arsenal, Brighton, Frankfurt and Braga generally proved fruitful alongside an inevitable stalemate at Goodison Park, but a home shellacking at Craven Cottage plus Villa also dropping points at home and a reverse for the Hornets in the women's Cup all contributed to poor form across the board this time out.

The next set of 10 is a tad all over the place but it's also coinciding with another set of FPL Cup group stage clashes so you'd best try to make the most of it. That should all go up in the original post in a few moments.

The results went into the opening post on Sunday evening, including those for the FPL Cup clashes. Both sets of tables were then updated, with the top two in each group now guaranteed a place in the quarter-finals and nobody eliminated yet. In the main competition Stinky Dad and former fellow Dad Bent Wookie were best and worst performer respectively so swap places. The former was also the only participant into double figures in this low-scoring round. Tilde's lead is cut by nearest challenger ultimo to 19 points while Vegeta has also cut his deficit at the foot of the standings to just half a dozen. Gooner returned to move back above reigning champion Rory. 

Bonus points were awarded to the three players who got the right outcome in the randomly selected 'wildcard' fixture, which ended up as match #7, Espanyol v Celta Vigo. Nobody managed the exact scoreline from there with few expecting the Galician side to come unstuck in Catalonia. Elsewhere, a stalemate at Wembley, score draws at Selhurst Park and in the Klassiker and the Spanish Potteries plus a goal bonanza at Molineux all proved not much use to most pickers.

Even a routine home win at Anfield wasn't as fruitful as you might've thought. The three knockout ties, meanwhile, all finished with four unanswered goals by higher-tier visitors so were generally good for one-pointers. It's one-sided matches like that which help you appreciate the upsets as genuine shocks when they do arrive, I suppose. 

Right, the penultimate D2D of the calendar year forms a key part of the slightly less chaotic next card. That should appear at the top of the thread in short order.
