Fog Dude Posted March 26, 2025 Author Posted March 26, 2025 The final scores for both the actual matches and the FPL Cup ties were up at the top of the thread from Monday night, and luckily there were no draws in the latter. Top bloke Bent Wookie no longer appears in the table as he bows out with our best wishes and would be welcomed back with open arms next season. That leaves Rory (who still has his second D2D to come) and Stinky (who picked late this week) to battle it out to avoid the wooden spoon. Vegeta also moves down a place this time and might not be fully clear of danger either. At the other end of the standings, Tilde keeps getting decent scores while ultimo does his best to challenge him by putting in the kind of performance we used to get frequently during international rounds. Everyone who posted on time got a bonus points for the randomly selected "wildcard" match, #1 which was Montenegro's win over Gibraltar. Elsewhere, victories for Cymru and England plus Arsenal and Liverpool's women alongside a stalemate on the south coast generally proved fruitful. On the other hand, success for Tyneside over Wearside, a score draw in Lancashire, Senegal being held and a home reverse for Kenya all turned out tougher to foresee. I note we should've probably included the Scottish Women's League Cup final but it didn't appear in most of the sources I use to find matches (and was buried too far down in the other). The game that would've been bumped involved The Mighty Robinettes so that was probably just my biases showing. Anyway, congrats to the Cup semi-finalists and here's how the draw shakes out: ultimo the great v TildeGuy~! RoryFice v MVP RULZ Those will take place in under a fortnight and funnily enough, those same encounters already took place in the group stage earlier in the season. In the meantime, we've got another D2D to get out of the way which should appear in the original post soon. Quote

Fog Dude Posted April 2, 2025 Author Posted April 2, 2025 The results went into the opening post on Sunday night, and the updated table soon followed. Most players were into double figures, and everybody got at least one three-pointer. Now that's more like it in terms of high scoring, but the only movement involved joint worst performer Chutney Spoon just about slipping back into the bottom half. Joining him as equal lowest scorer was MVP RULZ, whose Milan side let him down in Naples. Almost all other participants disagreed to claim their bonus points. The other bonuses arose from the scoreline at randomly selected match #2 from Deepdale, where everyone rightly went for a Villa win on Sunday lunchtime but only I had at spot on as 0-3, sorry. Meanwhile the gap between Stinky and Rory remains at a baker's dozen, while equal best performer ultimo cuts the deficit to Tilde at the top by a single point to seven. A stalemate at The AmEx wasn't a great ad for football on Saturday night prime time mainstream linear TV so caught people out, but victories for Man City, Norwich, Pompey, Stoke, Roma and Ajax all turned out to be quite fruitful. A score draw here in Wales was the only outcome that ended up with more of a mixed bag of guesses. This week a date has emerged for the release of next season's EPL fixtures so a little Excel file called UKFF FPL 2025-26 was quietly started this week, unless anyone else fancies a go at running the whole shebang. Before that, we've got the semis of this season's Cup coming up. Tilde already beat ultimo 7-5 back in late October (and finished ahead of him in the groups) but will have to do it all again to progress to the final. Rory & MVP RULZ weren't in the same pool but did face each other even longer ago in early September in a cross-pool clash, with the former emerging as victor by a huge 14 points to 11. Anyway, with that bit of housekeeping done, it obviously means there's no D2D until at least the following round. Look out for an ordinary set of 10 in the initial post shortly then... Quote
