This isn’t America though is it. That’s like walking into an American Sweet Shop and moaning a A tray of Oreo’s is £6 because it’s only $4 in America. It’s a novelty it will likely sell out. Anyway I’ll hide the costs in spoilers but you’re wrong

Ticketmaster currently has the back row at 140 and no tickets less than that. I said they were showing that as the cheapest ticket and they are.

NOAH has standing tickets at Manchester for £25 and front row for £80. 

 

Yeah it's not America, so there will be a premium but $20 is about £15. So £125 extra isn't a premium, it's a piss take.

What they have left, in a pre sale, is what is left. I literally put the screenshot in to show the price range. It’s supply and demand at the end of the day, AEW don’t always start at $20, but they have definitely reduced those tickets down nearer the time. They have sold over 40k for Wembley, a lot of the floor seats are gone in the three and 4 figure digit price range. They are in a 7000 seater for this, first time TV taping in Europe it will probably sell out, it’s cheaper then when WWE are in Wales, I think it’s an over reaction tbh especially when ticket prices to everything have gone up.

No idea about Progress prices in Manchester, but Progress usually charge £28 standing or unreserved for £41 and £50 for the front few rows in the Electric Ballroom. So they have pretty much doubled those prices.

Is anyone actually going to the show? We have family friends in Cardiff so I think we're going to try and reach this.

Toying with it but those prices means no interest in my social group (yes, as people have pointed out, things more pricey these days but if you're not comparing wrestling shows to other wrestlimg 150/200 minimum is a heck of a lot for an evening entertainment - I mean gigs now cos 30 instead of 20...)

Annoying thing with it being TV tapings it's card in unpredictable . Them being go home shows for Wembley means they'll probably be exciting but you never know, could just be an afterthought booking wise with bubblewrapped stars gently warming up for the big show (show)

It's a TV taping so you already know that Chris "The Clout Vampire" Jericho is going to be on. If you are willing to pay 150 sheets to watch that then enjoy your time under the learning tree. I've already learned enough thanks.

Except people over here are actually willing to pay to see AEW. I’m not saying the prices are justified but it’s a different market. TNA used to draw paid crowds well over here while having to give their TV taping tickets away to people who took a wrong turn at The Simpsons Ride.

They'll sell out and thus they can charge what they want. Still doesn't mean we can't express our disapointment that the big capitalist entertainment company gives into the worst impulses of such a system. Maybe it's got a little extra sting cos AEW are just starting to claw back some goodwill (although it dissapoints that my attitude last year of "I'd be willing to travel and pay for good seats if I was just a bit more excited about this product" is still the case but now for a closer/cheaper show - I WANT TO LOVE YOU AEW )

I'd forgotten that going to the TV taping would break my current system of Chris Jericho not being in AEW (fast forward buttons y'all, they're excellent).

I guess the most annoying thing about all of it in terms of pricing is that they go up, people pay for it, and they never go back. And then over time it has become the norm and no one acknowledges how it used to be. It's the same with conventions - now everything's mainstream they're able to charge 2x or 4x what they did before or more. But because there's a lot of new attendees that never went before, they think it's the norm and so they pay it without question.
