I remember Goldberg on live and kicking playing a tiny drum kit. The presenters said "we wanted stone cold but he wouldn't do it". Did that happen or is it my imagination?

I'm 90% sure that was SMTV Live. Stone Cold had been advertised a week or two before but he saw what they wanted to do in rehearsal and he just left.

Found it. Go to 7.10. it's weird how much I remember of it.

Big Bill working his own angle "One day we'll tangle" well that never happened.

Jake Roberts showing up on They Think It’s All Over. Young me didn’t expect to see former American wrestler show up on British light entertainment show on what was probably a little past my bedtime then.

I think I saw every episode of that (I even bought the VHS special, which was funny tbf) and I don't remember that at all.

I have to see it.

It was definitely on one of the 2 VHS specials (No Holds Barred or Full Throttle).

Today I learned there was more than 1 VHS special! I had the one with the sports day on it.

Not the only time. Bischoff had him challenge Austin to a match on Jay Leno knowing it couldn’t happen, thinking it would make Austin look a coward by not responding. In reality every wrestling fan knew the companies were never going to work together to promote such a match so it made Bill and WCW look stupid and highlighted the inferiority complex that plagued WCW virtually their entire existence.

Not a wrestler himself but I know Luna’s son was on Hells Kitchen, though I didn’t know it was her son until her episode of Dark Side of the Ring.

And Trish is a judge on Canada’s Got Talent.

Oh wow I just looked up who he is, I had no idea he was her son!

I must have watched that sports day one so many times it's etched into my brain. I'm sure there's a cociane part of the obstacle course that a certain Mr Khan would have excelled at??️‍?️?️‍?️

Rory McGrath does a "random drugs test" where he tests different substances ?

I always remember the Nick Hancock gag about Rory trying to break into the crisp game with Gary as he's been "seen offering girls a go on his cheesy Wotsit" as being one of my favourite jokes when I was younger.

More innocent days!

Bret Hart did a blink-and-you'll-miss-it bit of PR ahead of Wrestling with Shadow's UK premiere in October 1999. He was on the Big Breakfast in the morning, did MTV Select I think and then a radio spot. He also did a meet and greet at the Sports Bar off Leicester Sq that was attended by about 10 people. That weekend, he won the WCW world title at Mayhem.

I used to absolutely love that place. I remember many times making my Dad take me there for birthdays just so I could use the batting cage where I hit precisely 0 pitches in about 5 visits.
