I thought that kind of worked - it looked like she was actually trying to trip a Traitor more than anything else, but he somehow didn’t understand what the heck was going on. Briefcase Posted January 8 Posted January 8 From what I have read the roundtables during filming last for hours so to us its probably fairly obvious in a 5 minute edit people slipping up or acting out of character but I guess if your stuck at the roundtable for hours with lots to digest and take in, then things like Stephen saying 'last night' might not be as obvious. Still annoying though, I find the games/tasks quite boring (as in not much jeopardy) so would prefer to see more roundtable. There has been a lot of talk this year about '2 Traitors have never won the series' in the show and the aftershow thing which suggests to me that's the way its going. Quote

Based on other series, im not sure Fiona has done herself any favours there whatsoever. She was fine. She had no reason to go for Rachel. There will definitely be some Traitor on Traitor assumptions there. I cant see any benefit to the approach whatsoever long term. Quote

Completely sabotaged her own team for no reason other than “why did she tell you and not me?”. Again back to my point on Amanda but I don’t think bragging about being on the force or having a family on the force is the big brag Fiona thinks it is. Why are there so many links to law enforcement, civil services and legal work in this season anyway? Unrelated to all that though, I agree James is crap. Maybe my least favourite contestant ever. People like Amanda who stake their entire reputation because they are so sure they are right. Do they not think even for a second what a bellend they will look to the entire nation if they are wrong? Maybe hedge your bets a little. When it's so early in the game, it's just a game of chance. But to be so sure you know, and state it so surely just seems fucking mad to me. And Fiona was clearly just offended that Amanda didn't tell her about being a copper. She couldn't seem to consider that Amanda just didn't think of her as being particularly close, so she just fucking lost it. Absolutely showed her arse to everyone and if they don't banish her tomorrow then they've got no chance. Quote

It’s hard to predict what they’ll do, but if they banish Fiona, at least some of them will float around the prospect of this being Traitor-on-Traitor. And I could see Fiona utterly shafting Rachel if she’s eliminated. By the time the final show comes around, I imagine the sole remaining Traitor will be someone who isn’t even a Traitor yet. Fiona’s actions were compelling to watch in the moment, but it’s potentially broken the game as it stands beyond repair. Quote

The thing that worries me is that if this follows usual Traitors logic, it won't have broken the game at all. Fiona will vote for Rachel tonight but everyone else will just vote for random gut instincts again and we'll probably see Reece or Jade going and everyone will just move on. To be honest I don't know how I feel about it at all. It made for great single episode TV but you've essentially had a spiteful jealous old bag completely kill the spirit of the game and I'm pretty sure break the actual rules. If everyone does follow this lead and votes Rachel off then what's even the point? Stephen is a crap traitor but I don't half feel sorry for him now, jammed in the middle of a civil war. Quote

It's hardly like Amanda was onto anything anyway. I guess Fiona was super paranoid that Rachel would twist things and say that Amanda knew Fiona was a Traitor. In other Traitor news. The US series began last night and the first episode was pretty good in how the Traitors were chosen (won't say anymore). The US Traitors has always felt different with people from reality shows but has at times been a great watch. Quote

From a logical perspective I imagine she thought it would put more heat on the people Amanda was after, because her job would give her opinions more validity. Of course, we know that to be absolute bollocks, but I would imagine that was her thinking. Quote
