All this talk about the format running out of steam or being predictable and then it goes and puts on the best season yet. Fair play to the Traitors.

I only started properly watching towards the last few episodes, but that was exceptional. Delighted at the outcome.

Fair play to them for winning but they were up against the weakest group of faithfuls out of the 4 series, was hoping Stephen would fuck Rachel over at the end but he’s a fool so he didn’t obviously

Get rid of the sob stories bit next series and it’ll be instantly better, Traitors series code 2143

My heart was in my throat for the last 20 minutes of that.  Stephen is the biggest babyface of all time - had multiple chances to fuck Rachel over but stayed true to his word to the very end.  There was a minute where I thought Stephen turning on Faz had flicked a switch in Jack's head and he might have switched his vote to Stephen in the last round, with Rachel being the one to turn.  Was so relieved when she stuck to to the deal too.  Amazing finale and worthy winners.  May have even topped the (amazing) celebrity series.

Yeh the Faithfuls were terrible to be fair.  Only caught 2 Traitors and one of them literally handed themselves to them on a plate. Don’t think I’ve ever seen less than that on any of the English speaking series.

More than anything else, I think it shows the power of social capital. The clues were all there to show that Rachel was a Traitor, and if it was someone less liked she likely wouldn’t have stayed for as long as she did. Same goes for Stephen, his pals couldn’t come to terms with the idea of him being anything other than ‘lovely Stephen’.

Same goes for Jessie - no one took her seriously as they looked at her in a patronising way, even though she was completely right with her theories. She’d have been an interesting (and likely effective) Traitor for that very reason - people wouldn’t have wanted to accept that she’d be anything other than a Faithful.

It’s as much a social experiment as it is a game.

The social part is exactly why it's so gripping each time. No matter how much people think they know about the game and how to play it, everyone is human. Predictable. Unpredictable. You just never know and that's what makes it such a good show.

Not to Chutney the place up but how absolutely awful for them. It’s smallest slither of silver linings but at least it didn’t happen while she was stuck in a castle, and at least Stephen didn’t steal all the prize money on the last vote for this to then happen when she got home.

Dementia is about as cruel an illness as there is, and dealing with Parkinson’s alongside that must have been horrific for her and her family. I really hope she got to enjoy the pride of seeing her daughter come out on top, in an unexpectedly honourable and heartwarming way. What horrible timing.

Loving the Irish Traitors!  Much more sweary than the UK version and Siobhán McSweeney is brilliant as the presenter.  Well worth a watch.
