Now that's what I call a lush promo package. Good heavens!

The song is called Good Riddance &*"ÂŁ"ÂŁ%$. STOP GETTING GREEN DAY WRONG.

Now that's out of the way, yeah quality video package that could only be improved by being Monster.

I haven't stop-watched it or anything, but I feel like the first hour of this show was more package and promo heavy than usual for AEW. Not sure if that'll make a difference, but I noticed it.

Hard not to notice it. I think they had about 15 minutes of back to back vignettes and promos. Very unlike them.

Was Taz drunk last night? Just rambling endless bollocks.

I really enjoyed the Triple Threat Match. Fucking Jericho singles match?! Ugh. Christian Cage is still able to weave stuff into gold. I hope he's a top shithouse in that All In multi man. Also Claudio finally hit a nice home run promo with a superb sign off.

Personally, always felt Macy's Day Parade was the better sombre acoustic Green Day track.

What the fuck was the end sequence of Shida/Mone? Britts music hit, Kamille goes for the defence on the stage. Then she spots a plant wearing a Sting mask so pulls them over the guardrail to beat them up, than an hour later we see Britt walking through the crowd with no urgency, takes ages to get in the ring and put a glove on, before they do a weird spot ending with her trying to put her finisher on.

That could have been a hot segment if Britt could actually be bothered about it. Really poorly done.

Rest of the show was decent though, really hyping up All In.

Britt sucks and the All In match is going to suck. SHIDA should 100% be in her spot.

The song choice for the video was almost certainly based on a recent Kerrang interview with Danielson (see below). It's certainly the second best montage with that song. Number 1 is of course:

So PAC got a promo this week, which is great. But it sounded very much like instead of getting his “Wembley moment” he’s just going to wait a couple of weeks and have that moment at All Out instead? I’m no more sure he’s going to be on the card in London than I was beforehand.

I would bet good money he's going to be in the Casino Gauntlet. I'm not fussed really. I'm not the biggest Pac fan, I don't cheer someone just because they were born on the same pile of dirt as me, and with a likely Ospreay win and Jamie Hayter return that's enough "hometown guy" moments for me.

PAC's one of my favourites. Not just because he's from Gateshead but because he's someone I've followed for his entire career, from IWF through to his breakthrough at Dan Fitch's first show in 2005 to FWA, 1PW, PWG, Dragon Gate, on to WWE and making WrestleMania (preshow) to AEW. To go from watching him at Eldon Leisure Centre in Newcastle to seeing him at Wembley Stadium would be really cool - for him, and for me! Ospreay I'm not all that fussed about, but PAC? The pile of dirt he's from is my pile of dirt, dammit!

PAC is fantastic, and it seems madness to not have him at Wembley, and to book him to earn an International Title shot, do a promo about Wembley, and then just forget about it and book a whole different programme. Something's gone wrong there, and I'd love to know what. Especially as the plan was then for Death Triangle to be in the Trios Title match, so there were at least two plans for him to be at Wembley at some point that haven't been followed up on.

I'd be surprised if he's not in the Gauntlet, although I'd dislike that given he already has a shot at another title. I don't like wrestlers fighting for multiple titles, as it devalues them - he already has an International Title match and should be focusing all of his attention on winning that, rather than trying to win a different belt. Same goes for Darby Allin having TNT and World Title matches lined up.

It's not that I think every British wrestler under contract should be on the card, but PAC missed last year's show, is one of the better wrestlers in AEW, has more than earned it, and was booked in a match that's been pulled through no fault of his own.

Thinking about it, I expect there'll be more British wrestling representation than last year. You've got Ospreay and Mariah May already on the card, Jamie Hayter likely to return (in a segment that I expect will involve Saraya, so possibly Zak Knight too), and Nigel McGuinness on commentary, and then between the gauntlet match and the pre-show I can see them finding spots for Kip Sabian and Anthony Ogogo, with possible surprise entries in the gauntlet for Tommy Billington, maybe Zack Sabre Jr. if he's not booked in Japan, maybe Grado shows up again, and I'd put money on Michael Oku being in that match.

It's just more of tony khans slightly weird belt booking (they're often just a means to setup matches and as you said wrestlers go for multiple titles at same time). Ever since MJF returned they've been pushing towards MJF/Osprey at All In.  Whilst Pac/Osprey is certainly a match they could've done at that All In the point when Pac got the title shot they were certainly not deviating from Osprey/MJF

I assume the intent was always Pacs All In moment bring trios shot. Then you setup Pac/Osprey as a dream match to sell All Out and put a little uncertainty on the MJF/Osprey programme

They could've done Pac vs MJF at Cardiff (I would've found this a much more exciting main event than Claudio vs Okada, personally) with the hook being if Pac wins he defends the title against Ospreay at All In, getting his Wembley moment. Then when MJF cheats to win he gets the heel heat from killing Pacs Wembley dream. Then fuck it, chuck Pac in the Casino Gauntlet anyway.

The way they've gone about it is arse about face but quite symptomatic of Khans muddled booking the past year.

Don't forget Kip Sabian will be involved with Patriachy probably....

Yeah he has a very weird way of doing things. The pattern mostly seems to be 1) set up something logical and interesting, 2) either do no follow up, take them off TV inexplicably or have them go do something else entirely, then finally 3) rush them into a match a bit too late or at the wrong time. Usually the match itself is very good so everyone forgets how weird the booking was.

Bookers are usually either good or terrible, Khan has this unique ability to be both at the same time. The stuff they are putting out seems to contain so much high quality and confusing messy shite all at once it feels almost like a constant whiplash.
