Yeah the Sandy stuff was awful, made Ross look like a shithead. I didn't hate the Joey/Rachel storyline but think it could have been done much better - it would have been better if it had stayed one sided in an unrequited love type scenario. However, it did bring about one of my favourite scenes - Ross getting drunk/I'm fine/Fah-HEE-tahs.

"O is for Oh Wooooow" is a favourite from that episode.

Something I forgot to add is I've watched quite a bit with subtitles and there was one point, might have been when he's hiding his super bright teeth, when the CC direction for Ross was "falsetto annoyed grunt" or something and it made me really laugh as its very accurate.

Add Charlie and Benjamin/Benjy to the shit list. They act like absolute nobs in front of Ross.

Re-watching as this thread inspired me. Seasons 1-2 are pretty reliably good, but Season 3 so far has really taken a turn. The humour's more silly and unbelievable and I'm finding scenes end on flat jokes. Joey's become a full-on cartoon idiot rather than someone who has charm but might not be the brightest.

Edit: S3's been getting better after the first 6 episodes or so. There might be a correlation between Joey sorting his hair out and episodes getting better.

I don't know if this is the thread for it but five people have been arrested over Matthew Perry's death, basically a drug ring of people close to him including doctors and his assistant who were keeping him on ketamine to all make money for themselves. Horrible stuff.

Really sad. I know there's crazy emergent studies on ketamine's therapeutic potential right now. Sounds like he was roped in to a creepy wellness racket.

Another film/TV anomaly, but Ross has Winona Ryder on his "5 celebrities he can sleep with" list and then she turns up later on in the series as Rachel's old sorority mate.

Also I always forget just how much of a cunt and how quickly Ross turns into one when Rachel starts her fashion job at Bloomindales.

I like him, he's a top character, but God is he a nob in that stretch.

I also forget just how short the Ross/Rachel run was (brother) before they booked him as a mega heel. It only spans 25 episodes in total, which given its probably the most prominent storyline in the entire show is quite remarkable.

I always like the anomaly of when they had Jean-Claude Van Damme playing himself in an episode that also featured much bigger star Julia Roberts who wasn’t playing herself

A friend of mine has put out an album under the artist name "Funn Bobby". It slightly weirds me out that a Friends reference now counts as the sort of nerdy nudge nudge wink wink you get in niche music rather than you know.. the thing everyone has a pencil case of in school

There's a producer/DJ called Ross From Friends.

Just had a random thought while watching an episode with my eldest and completely forgot about Matthew Perry passing away.0

I asked her "I wonder if they'll ever do a reunion show" after Monica and Chandler discuss their future, kids, house in the suburbs etc and now I've massively depressed us :(

Considering the last 'reunion' thing they did was hosted by fucking James Corden, it's probably for the best that there won't be any more.

But yeah, it is sad. I watched my first episode for a couple of years a few months back and felt melancholy the second Chandler appeared.

Sorry I wasn't specific, I meant actual episodes of the show rather than what that was.
